AyewJoking Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 Redknapp is right to moan about this. Purse is hardly gonna win the cup for Cardiff but its the principle of the matter. Complete joke.
Thracian Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 They opt to play in the ENGLISH competitions so therefore should definitely abide by the ENGLISH rules. Simple as that. They shouldn't even be allowed in the English League. We don't allow Scottish teams or teams from Northern Ireland.
The People's Hero Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 They shouldn't even be allowed in the English League. We don't allow Scottish teams or teams from Northern Ireland. This is how we should fight relegation... ...Errrr aren't Cardiff Welsh?
Mickey O'Neil Posted 8 May 2008 Posted 8 May 2008 If his showing against us is anything to go by he'll be a threat to his own goal... Play Up Pompey
Father Ted Posted 8 May 2008 Posted 8 May 2008 Cardiff play in the English leagues, but can appeal to the Welsh F.A.Cardiff enter into an English Cup, but can appeal to the Welsh F.A. The English F.A/UEFA try and bend to rules to give Cardiff a place in Europe should Cardiff win, but can appeal to the Welsh F.A. I'd have though Cardiff would have had to go through the English F.A but surly it's abit unfair What a bloody disgrace! If they want to be a part of the English league then they should abide by English FA or why don't they just go and play with Airbus UK! And the tackle was even worse! A diabolical decision and if the English FA were dealing with it then it wouldn't have been overturned.

Purse actually got the man.

The English FA should have told them to swivel on allowing them to enter the UEFA cup if they win it, but I think the red card was overturned after this....
Ultra Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 An absolute disgrace - national bias at its very worst. It also sends out a message to Welsh footballers that leg-breaking thuggery is perfectly acceptable, as long as it's in the national interest. Much as I dislike Portsmouth and their toytown army of wannabe hardmen fans, I hope they stuff Cardiff next week.
andyh1884 Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 I wonder if they'd have bothered appealing if he hadn't been banned for the final..... Horrible challenge & in essence he's been let off because they wouldn't want the poor boy to miss the opportunity of a lifetime of playing in an FA Cup final. It reeks.
