Fox in a Box Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 This time we have to appoint some manager with balls, and someone with a track record which immediately points to Paul Ince of course. I for one dont think this will happen, so who is in the offing, either Billy Davies or Lambo for me Billy Davies Paul Lambert Simon Grayson (maybe) Steve Mclaren Darren Ferguson Steve Clarke (maybe on his way out ) These names will crop up Dali Lama Avram Walshy Taggs Peter Reid David O Deary Deary Oleary Jean Tigana Mike Newell Glenn Hoddle Steve Cotterill Bryan Robson John Gregory Terry Butcher Steve Claridge Trevor Francis Bobby Robson Paul Jewell

Also if you want him you need your head testing, what will you be watching over the next month?
Master Fox Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Can someone give me a brief overview of Lamber and what's about please?

turkish14 Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 for me lookin, at availability and the desire to get back into management(albeit a league 1 club) id go for either...... hoddle newell maclaren i think all these 3 would jump at the chance
Leicester's 12th Man Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 for me lookin, at availability and the desire to get back into management(albeit a league 1 club) id go foreither...... hoddle newell maclaren i think all these 3 would jump at the chance Maybe Yeah No way Maclaren will not drop from manager of England to League 1 football Hoddle from Championship to League 1 is a posiibility Newell has been touted before as manager, as much as he would want to drop to league 1 to get back into management would he really want to join City?
Mort Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Hoddle could be a fair shout... his record really isnt bad at all, he's a bit batty to be sure but a capable and sucessful manager is more than we deserve considering the level we've sunk to and as a result if probably expecting too much, likley as not we'll be landed with 'Martin Allen MkII'

smokey Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 your forgetting no one would touch maclaren with a barge pole at the minute.................except mad man mandaric Steve Cotterill for me!! Trust me!
He's not bald Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Can someone give me a brief overview of Lamber and what's about please? Lambert would be an awful choice IMO,what's he done? As far as I can see, naff all at Livingstone, then a bit of a cup run at Wycombe,he's been in charge all season and they finished 7th in League 2,granted they made the last play off spot but it's hardly the stuff of legends and frankly I don't think he has shown anything that's going to fill me with confidence...don't do it MM...too much of a gamble!
Joinesy77 Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Think Billy Davies would be amazin for us, although not sure he would want to come down to League 1. We need someone not just with passion but who can motivate the players and buy cleverly whilst clearing out the waste of space players that we seem to have so many of. Reckon the realistic targets have gotta be mike newell and glen hoddle. Please not mclaren!
Uncle Albert Posted 24 May 2008 Posted 24 May 2008 Mike Newell. Maybe Walsh or Taggart as his assistant.
