Tommeh Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Why is every one so keen to be in League 1 Trying to make the best out of a bad situation. I'm well over relegation now and can't wait till the new season. If we sit around and be miserable over every drawback supporting Leicester wouldn't be worthwhile Sheef united away was a prime example, 3-0 down 1 man down and everyone stood sang and was acting like we were 3-0 up for the rest of the game. And it ended up bring one of the best aways all season.

Bert Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Row LL, standing next to the loud twat who's crap at football I thought that was you?
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 L1 is the best place in the ground to sit now for atmosphere without question It's a shame the kop has got so shit that everyone is having to move there to be part of a decent atmosphere
Daggers Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 It's a shame the kop has got so shit that everyone is having to move there to be part of a decent atmosphere I think it's brilliant that those who like to make a noise are all moving over - it is going to be a pretty special place to be next season...especially on the designated Sexy Party match days.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 I suppose at least there should be atmosphere somewhere in the ground next year rather than some of those who make the most noise scattered around the kop & the rest over in L1
Maybes Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 I think it's brilliant that those who like to make a noise are all moving over - it is going to be a pretty special place to be next season...especially on the designated Sexy Party match days. Im all for this. Im sure kilworth is game aswell
foss1884 Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 Check this website out. Newcastle United for the upcoming season have made a few changes to St. James' Park after consultation with fans, including the designation of a "singing section" right next to the away fans! How can the masses of the Toon Army be controlled and yet the might of the Blue Army in Leicester strikes fear into the football club and Leicestershire Constabulary for the same idea to be replicated. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsD...1318112,00.html "The creation of 'Leazes Corner' to house those fans that like to create a noisy atmosphere throughout the game , with prices at just £380 for adults." The official NUFC line is: "Chairman Chris Mort said: Over the course of the year I've spoken to lots of fans about how we can improve things at St. James' Park. Two themes have regularly cropped up in those conversations. One was somehow creating a section in the stadium where like-minded fans who enjoy singing can come together to generate a great atmosphere and get behind the team for 90 minutes." Well done Newcastle. A football club that listens and they have deliberately reduced season tickets in this section to reward those fans that vocally support the side as they recognise the importnace of a passionate backing! I am alerting all officials at our club to bring it to their attention and make sure that at some point a section is officially recognised, hopefully L1 with a common sense approach then to the fans that support their side in this section.
Tilley Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 I know people keep bringing it up but if you put the Kop where the family stand is, & L1 the other side, it would be intimidating to away fans. I sit in seat 310 which is as close as you can get to away fans and I like the banter when the away end is full.. But, L1 isn't so great as people make out. I just think home games are shit.
Babylon Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 I've moved to L1 as well. Are Burberry baseball caps still compulsory? You get a free burberry season ticket holder, with "Lee jobber is my hero" on it. The fact i even know that pricks name annoys me.

Will not happen. Check this website out. We had one, and hardly anyone bothered with it.
Scow Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 I'm still thinking over where to sit - stay in F1 or move to L1. F1 is cheaper.
Kilworthfox Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 Im all for this. Im sure kilworth is game aswell I am just like Stokies.... game as Fook
Kilworthfox Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 I'm still thinking over where to sit - stay in F1 or move to L1.F1 is cheaper. That is not a choice! It is a disgrace F1
Scow Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 That is not a choice! It is a disgrace F1 Without starting another L1 v F1 debate, the latter isn't that bad. It has its moments. I've sat in L1 before and moved away from there a couple of years ago. Has it changed much in the space of a few years?

Well I am there now and not a few years ago so i can not comment on how it has changed over that period. From what i hear I know it is th best place! You get the away fans and the new chants are 9 times out of 10 coming from L1 as most of the away singers are in there. Even more respectable people are going into L1 just because it mildly brings back what going to the match used to be like. You can stand and sing and no-one tells you to shut up or gives you them eyes. IMO it's what you want from the match or as good as it can get at the moment.

Daggers Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 IMO it's what you want from the match or as good as it can get at the moment. IMO - popping in last season was a revelation. I got to stand, I got to chant until I was hoarse. It was everything I'd been missing from going to a match for so long. I didn't need to give moving over a second thought. They can move me back to some seating and clapping area once I'm dead, for the time being I'd like to feel I'm actually at a football match

Me and Cobbo sat there for the 2004/2005 season and it seemed to full of chavs, whose idea of generating an idea stemmed from singing to every set of away fans: 'We heard you slept with your sister." or some other inane chants. There didn't seem to be any variety in the chants and the away fans would often just sing over us. Even Lisa's going to L1, so it must be on the up!
