I know people keep bringing it up but if you put the Kop where the family stand is, & L1 the other side, it would be intimidating to away fans. ARRRRGGHHHHH... LIVERPOOL anyone??!?! It's because the singers decided to split themselves... that's the only reason the Kop isn't as good as it should be!!
Guest Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 It sounds better than it used to be then.Me and Cobbo sat there for the 2004/2005 season and it seemed to full of chavs, whose idea of generating an idea stemmed from singing to every set of away fans: 'We heard you slept with your sister." or some other inane chants. There didn't seem to be any variety in the chants and the away fans would often just sing over us. Even Lisa's going to L1, so it must be on the up! Shhh, that's classified information.

There's loads of alright people in L1 but unfortunately it's become more and more of a magnet for knobheads as well - there was a massive influx when Mandaric took over for some reason. It's still the best place for atmosphere but that's not saying a lot. We're towards the front of L1 now and you can hear usually hear the away fans more than our lot at the back, but that can't be helped as there aren't that many of them; I'm sure they do their best. What we are crying out for is a) someone to start some of the old songs and b) someone to come up with some new ones

The 'kids for a quid club' couldn't get in L1 as easily as a result which resulted in it being mostly full of those who wanted to support the club, not people wanting a fight with away fans. Always the odd idiot but you get them everywhere!
