Alexikokopops Posted 29 May 2008 Posted 29 May 2008 that video made me feel sick! seriously i hope the guy was ok! ... A second viral shows CCTV footage - performed by actors - of a knife stabbing on a shopping street.
Daggers Posted 29 May 2008 Posted 29 May 2008 But who chose the Police Chief to talk about it??? The press conference was so cringeworthy it was untrue, it was like having your Dad instruct you on how to perform oral sex by giving examples of how he and your Mum do it.
Samilktray Posted 29 May 2008 Posted 29 May 2008 It wont work. There needs to be more drastic and enforced measures than a campaign.
Daggers Posted 29 May 2008 Posted 29 May 2008 It wont work. There needs to be more drastic and enforced measures than a campaign. People smoke. It's beyond me why they do, but people smoke. People who have had the health ed. at school, who have seen the adverts on TV and who have worked out how many holidays they could have in Loret de Mar if they gave up. Some of these people have even watched close family members being eaten up with cancer - and yet they still smoke. The long and short of it is that these campaigns are useless and the laws directed at them don't make a jot of difference. Stupid will always find a way to prove how dumb it is. I can't help but feel that it is we as a society who enable these situations because we have given up caring at a family level. We stick our old people in urine-soaked homes and palm our children off into the care of minimum-wage strangers while we grasp at career opportunites. Then, when stuff like this happens we cry out for quick fixes, more police, tougher sentences. Society doesn't teach its young any decent values anymore - it doesn't surprise me when the young then start to piss on the few values we have left.
