Anish Posted 5 April 2005 Author Posted 5 April 2005 I no i am late but 2-0 Connolly 88070 City 3 - 1 WolvesHughes 88071 Well done chaps, can't follow my clear instructions. I expressly stated weeks ago that you cannot predict after kick off. I again stated my position re illegal predicting just this week after Bedford Fox's attempt to cheat by predicting twice: Both of you have therefore been docked 3 points - I know that is harsh but I have to take a stand against this.
Anish Posted 5 April 2005 Author Posted 5 April 2005 FAO of all predicters!!!! Following Bedford Fox's attempt to predict twice in the same thread, I am warning everyone that any irresponsible predicting from now on will result in a 3 point deduction. I shouldn't need to keep a tab on whether x user has made an illegal prediction or not. 86892

Your right 3 points deduction is a bit harsh

Anish Posted 5 April 2005 Author Posted 5 April 2005 Steven, you have all the time to predict before kick off - why wait til the game is underway?? You have no excuses, and neither does Bedford Fox.
Steven Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 Respectfully then I must withdraw. When this was a bit of fun I enjoyed entering this contest, albeit on this occasion late, after this episode the fun has gone and I will therefore not be making any further submissions to the Prediction League.

But do you think it's easy to update the table and keep this section of the forum alive and kicking? It does take quite a long time to update and I am trying to make the prediction league fair for everyone. If people try to gain the upper hand by waiting til the game is underway (albeit still scoreless) they have an unfair advantage over others - some of whom predicted days in advance. It might be a bit of fun and entertainment for all you predicting, but it's not easy running the league. If anyone feels they are up to the task of running this thing, feel free to PM me and takeover. In my opinion rules are in place to make it an even contest - they were clear for everyone to see. I had let people off with a warning before and made my stance clear, but this time I felt action was necessary.
