Germany vs Portugal

Portugal: Ricardo, Pepe, Ferreira, Carvalho, Bosingwa, Simao, Petit, Moutinho, Deco, Ronaldo, Nuno Gomes. Subs to follow.

Germany: Lehmann, Metzelder, Mertesacker, Lahm, Friedrich, Schweinsteiger, Rolfes, Hitzlsperger, Ballack, Podolski, Klose. Subs to follow.

No Frings for Germany, Rolfes seems a surprise replacement considering Borowski's in the squad. At least Gomez doesn't start, thank the lord. lol

Portugal line-up as expected.

Could be interesting. Frings will be a massive loss and Germany will miss the physical side of him. Who on earth is Rolfes BTW? Unless he's a creative player I can see the German's struggling. Although the inclusion of Schweinsteiger will be a massive positive for them and he could supply the ammo. for Klose and Podolski - what they've been missing.

Holding midfielder, very tall and physical if I remember correctly, should compliment Ballack well but I'm still surprised he's not playing Borowski instead.

Surely Portugal will win. If Germany win it will be more than a surprise

Hehe, the naivety of youth!

Some worn clichés are just that, worn clichés. Some stereotypes are strongly rooted in fact, however, and one cliché you can be certain of is that the Germans should never, ever be written off!

Why?

Portugal are not as strong as everyone likes to think. Germany are a very capable side, as has been proven so many times over the years. They may not have a cluster of very good players, but they are well organised, efficient, and now that shitter Gomez has been dropped, 2 goalscorers up top. And they have Ballack.

Portugal havent got enough up front in my opinion.

A Kraut win for me.

lol Just seen the pitch. It's awful. Only 3 days old it said, all patchy and horrible.

Still it's better than what we see at the Walkers

Think it was Gavin Peacock who said last night Paolo Rossi didnt score in the group stages in one tournament and still finished top scorer, so anything is possible.

Ronaldo will dick it tonight.

Yeah thats right, that is what happend in 1982 world cup, then Rossi went on and scored a few and Italy won the bloody tournement, anything really can happen.

I would say that the Portuguese would win this game, but we all know to well, you can never ever count the germans out!

The pitch is like a used condom.

It's dirty. It's messy. It's still usable.

Hahahahaha.

No.

Why are you watching the football when you could watch some 12 year old on webcam?

And telling her she has "Nice tits".

I'm sorry, you must have missed the funeral.

That joke, is dead.

I told my Dad to bet 1-0 to germany but I forgot to predict it in the league, so half of me wants someone else to score, but then my dad would lose his bet...
