on the face of it, signing players from lower leagues is sniffed at cos they havent had that championship, premiership experience but so long as these guys are the better players, young and hungry than i am all for it.

They're exactly the sort we need. People being given a chance to prove something instead of people still reeling from the shock of dropping a level and finding it hard to cope with the reasons why.

How many times in the last few seasons have we heard, fantastic young player, up and coming, will do a fantastic job for us.

yeah, i actually didn't think about it as much as that - it tends to spoil the fun, and besides in my experience whilst the tension may be premenstrual, the menstrual bit certainly isn't 'nice and relaxed'... if your missus (you do have one, right?) is calmed before during and after, you're a lucky bstard

I seem to remember some of your fans not being overly enamoured by Colin Kazim-Richards and Simon Whaley as well. You lot know how to produce a youngster, your record in recent years is very impressive. Can Adams be talked about in the same class as those 2?
