Bryn Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Nicky Adams: Statement Posted on: Tue 01 Jul 2008 The club can confirm today that Nicky Adams has rejected the terms offered to him over the summer, and has accepted a contract with League One side Leicester City. As Nicky has come through the youth system at Gigg Lane, and is under the age of 23, a compensation package will be due to the club.It is likely that this package will be confirmed at tribunal. The club would like to place on record their thanks to Nicky Adams for his service to the Shakers and we wish him every success at Leicester City and his future career. http://www.buryfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lat...1336797,00.html

Milky Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 looks like another one who's contract expired yesterday and we sign today... it's one of those crazy football manager days.
Cal Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Weve prob only spent like £500 000 for all three players! Doubt its even that, two are to be set by tribunal.
DanTheFox07 Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 From what ive heard this guy is another good signing, Im very happy to see us signing younger players and this is undoubtley this is down to the previous mentaility we had in the squad, Now with getting rid of the dead wood and Trying to build A Squad with some hunger and desire!
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 12 goals from midfield last season - naise. In League Two, for Bury. At least he's fairly young and cheap.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 This is another good signing but i think its important we keep the likes of Clemence to keep a balance within the squad, We dont want too many youngsters, same as we do want to many oldies.
SussexFox Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 This is another good signing but i think its important we keep the likes of Clemence to keep a balance within the squad, We dont want too many youngsters, same as we do want to many oldies. yep i agree, im really pleased with the signings but don't want to go from one extreme to the other
Jordan Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 This is another good signing but i think its important we keep the likes of Clemence to keep a balance within the squad, We dont want too many youngsters, same as we do want to many oldies. ...but Clemence is crap and is surely on high wages, so why would Leicester keep him? edit: oh, yeah, almost forgot: MNicky Adams' Blue and White Army
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 B.I.N.G.O. This one really excites me. Would've taken him in a heartbeat if offered. Absolutely brilliant little player. Pearson has given me more confidence in the past few weeks than Holloway did during his entire tenure here. All the right noises are being made.
SamL Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Nice. Looks like a few of our midfielders will be on their way then.
Jon the Hat Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 In League Two, for Bury.At least he's fairly young and cheap. So you would prefer a stack of goals for A premier reserve side? Which is closer to L1?
Thracian Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Well, well, well. Is the sun finally starting to shine? Two players with the potential to score goals in one day. Let's all have a disco...
Lillehamring Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 In League Two, for Bury.At least he's fairly young and cheap. such a shame we decide to buy all thes players the day you get your period
Master Fox Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Well, well, well. Is the sun finally starting to shine? Two players with the potential to score goals in one day. Let's all have a disco... Easy, easy. Let's not get carried away now. Kaebi etc....

Basingstoke Fox Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 ...but Clemence is crap and is surely on high wages, so why would Leicester keep him? edit: oh, yeah, almost forgot: MNicky Adams' Blue and White Army Because he has alot of experience of the higher leagues, he can help the youngsters and he could easily be good enough for league 1.
