Manwell Pablo Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 It was a ****ing funny line though Pretty average if you ask me
Babylon Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 The signings are a risk, but i'd rather take a punt on these decent youngsters from lower leagues than some fecking has beens again.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Not until there's a YouTube clip it isn't. Good point. I vote we sign more obscure Middle Eastern players that can outmark aging midfielders. Mohammed Al Shalhoub (Saudi Arabia) has pace to burn, get it done Mandaric!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Not until there's a YouTube clip it isn't. That was my joke Then I got shown one where he couldnt really kick Oh well
Jordan Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Good point. I vote we sign more obscure Middle Eastern players that can outmark aging midfielders.Mohammed Al Shalhoub (Saudi Arabia) has pace to burn, get it done Mandaric! Good luck getting the Saudi government to let one of their players play internationally, and with Leicester City at that!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Good luck getting the Saudi government to let one of their players play internationally, and with Leicester City at that! Trample all over my dreams will you.
Thracian Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 The signings are a risk, but i'd rather take a punt on these decent youngsters from lower leagues than some fecking has beens again. You sure you're okay Babs?
blue blood Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Pearson is the complete opposite to Holloway. He's going for exciting youth whereas Hollaway went for older players. I wasn't fond of Pearsons appointment and won't be until I see the side play, but he's growing on me with these signings. holloway talked a good one and delivered little. pearson seems to talk little and seems to be delivering more. (the age old cliche square holes square pegs)
billyfox1 Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 looking good so far. have we done for the day or is there more to come
Lillehamring Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 It was a ****ing funny line though shame i blew it on the spelling
eaststandtom Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 on the face of it, signing players from lower leagues is sniffed at cos they havent had that championship, premiership experience but so long as these guys are the better players, young and hungry than i am all for it. the guys with championship and prem experience did beggar all last season. i just decided
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Its as much the idea of signing promising young players with something to prove rather than aging journeymen, but obviously reality might well not match the dream in all of these signings. Those are much my thoughts. I'd be surprised if these lads didn't have passion though - something that has been lacking from forwards at the club for too long. I just hope that they perform well when I'm hunched over my PC watching crappy internet streams.
Jack Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Sweeet. I hope all these young signings from lower leagues pay off.
Joe. Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Not as overwhelmed by this as I was by the Dyer signing but I'm pleased that we're signing this sort of player. He's still young so there's one positive already.
maddog Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Who is Nicky Adams? Is he any good. Who are these 3 signings. I wish it was Micky Adams .
Mickey O'Neil Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Anyone found any bury fan opinions? Rochdale Fan - "Heard same rumors, hoped he would come to us but never really belived (sic) it too much. He is the real deal from what i have seen and hopefully he wont end up bench warming at Leicester." Carlisle Fan - "Know a couple of Bury fans who think this lad is the real deal.." Bury Fan -"Confirmed!!!!! Wow, good signing for you guys, left winger stroke forward who likes to roam, league two top assists last season and think he could be a belter in a few years! Good luck Nicky!" I'm not getting carried away with this, but, it is nice to hear that other fans rate him & it's not some has-been. Well done City.
Joe. Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 I'm not getting carried away with this, but, it is nice to hear that other fans rate him & it's not some has-been. Well done City. I'm just refusing to get excited about any signing after the hype and aftermath of last season. <_<
maddog Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 New signings speak! http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1337022,00.html
Chimp Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 such a shame we decide to buy all thes players the day you get your period Why? On the day he got his (eh?) period he'd nice and relaxed. Now, if you'd said 'the day before you get your period', the joke would make sense and be funny. There's a pre in premenstrual tension for a reason.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Never seen this guy in action, hopefully he'll add a bit of much needed energy and pace to our midfield.
Father Ted Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Great signing by the looks of it, infact I'm very impressed with all 3 signings Well done so far Mr.Pearson
Fox You Forest Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 I wouldn't be too optomistic about this if I were you. He might need to given the number of players that are going to leave over the next couple of weeks. If you know something we dont please share...
Father Ted Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 Thinking about it, I think this guy could be a bit like the English/British Kaebi As in the fact that he could be very interesting but only time will tell whether he will make it...
Filberts lovechild Posted 1 July 2008 Posted 1 July 2008 There like buses today aren't they!!! Errrm don't know much about the signings, the fact that the other clubs aren't happy to lose the players is encouraging. We have still got some dead wood to get rid of though, we need lower squad numbers definately! I will reserve judgement on these players. Produce something good consistantly on the pitch lads and you and Pearson have my backing!!
