Chairman of the Bored Posted 4 July 2008 Author Posted 4 July 2008 Suitably enthused by Mandy's letter "the support and loyalty shown by supporters like yourself has been truly remarkable..." I'm now ready for the BIG OFF. Less an "Open Weekend", more of a slightly raised roller shutter under the main stand, I'd say. Alarmingly there appeared to be a bus load of visitors at The Walkers (as in "on tour" visitors) when I arrived. I can only assume it was Hartlepool fans getting themselves oriented for the new season. Got my ticket (tacky? Don't care) but I did decline the opportunity to purchase slightly soiled LCFC baby grows and 4 year old t-shirts.
Daggers Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 I saved the club the price of a stamp and spent twelve quid on petrol. **** the environment!

Don't worry, Daggers, apparently the club have agreed to carbon offset this weekend by planting out Howard in the shrubbery at the back of the car park.

Corky Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Bring back the swipe cards and pay on entry options I'd like to see the swipe cards back as well.
Alexikokopops Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 ! Is it crap then? Me and the old man were going to go, might still to buy a shirt You can only pre-order the shirts, I don't think they're released for another month or something.
Daggers Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 ! Is it crap then? YES. On a quite unbelievable level - City have really outdone themselves for crapness: it resembles a very crap stall at a village fete scattered with crap no one wanted and donated to the vicar to raise funds for the church roof.
