Chairman of the Bored Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 Anyone going to pick up their season tickets or is this a ploy by the club to save postage?
Chairman of the Bored Posted 3 July 2008 Author Posted 3 July 2008 Any old excuse to grace the corridors of power at The Walkers. I'm on holiday this week so more than likely...
Matt Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 If I liked the new shirt I was going over to buy that and would pick my Season Ticket up at the same time but I don't think the new shirt is on sale on Saturday so whats the point? My aswell just look at it on the net and wait for my Season Ticket to come through in the post.
SamL Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 I'm just going to let them post mine, I'm in no rush to have it.
Glenfield Fox Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 They are selling off a load of old tat too. That's no way to talk about our players.
Scow Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 I love the effort the club has put in to this marketing flop.
Glenfield Fox Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 Anyone heard if they are planning a "One team - one dream" evening like they did last pre-season? I remember all the optimism - will it be automatic promotion or the play offs ? Birchenall trying to cope with the Madness of Martin. The humble squad who had been working behind the scenes, some cleaning toilets. Watch this space for more big name signings etc. Mandy talking about building another tier of seating at The Walkers for the 10,000 extra seats we would need. Didn't quite go according to plan did it, but it was a bit of fun and I would go if they held another this year.
Daggers Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 They are selling off a load of old tat too. I want to get me one of those McCauley or Hume t-shirts and then I can stick a paper flag on with Pritt stick and change the name with Tippex - BINGO! Dirt cheap and yet up to date player T-shirt.
Webbo Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 I want to get me one of those McCauley or Hume t-shirts and then I can stick a paper flag on with Pritt stick and change the name with Tippex - BINGO! Dirt cheap and yet up to date player T-shirt. I've going to buy one of the new Steve Walsh T-shirts.
Daggers Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 I've going to buy one of the new Steve Walsh T-shirts. I might buy Steve Walsh as it seems obvious that City have no use for him. I reckon he'll make a smashing paperweight.
Webbo Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 I might buy Steve Walsh as it seems obvious that City have no use for him. I reckon he'll make a smashing paperweight. Make sure you take him down the vets and have him neutered before you take him home.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 I might buy Steve Walsh as it seems obvious that City have no use for him. I reckon he'll make a smashing paperweight. I'm going to buy Steve Howard. My patio needs doing, and he looks like he could put some hours in. I think Fryatt would be RUBBISH at building a patio
allard7 Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 I'm going to buy Steve Howard. My patio needs doing, and he looks like he could put some hours in. I think Fryatt would be RUBBISH at building a patio howard would be no good hes useless at every thing you want hayles! He need a retirment job
Raj Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 Anyone going to pick up their season tickets or is this a ploy by the club to save postage? They can shove my ST right up their arse.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 howard would be no good hes useless at every thing you want hayles! He need a retirment job You're right, he'd probably leave the slabs all wonky. I think Hayles would look busy but not achieve much They can shove my ST right up their arse. You'd like that
Corky Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 I would collect it, but I would have to travel 120 miles by train, and it's not something I'd relish. Hopefully they'll send me the right one, after the debacle of 1998.
hairy Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 Hopefully they'll send me the right one, after the debacle of 1998. It was shocking, I remember.
Corky Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 It was shocking, I remember. No, but they sent me the wrong one, and I only got the right one the day before the first home match. Fortunately it has never happened since and I hope it doesn't this season.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 3 July 2008 Author Posted 3 July 2008 Clearly my innocent question has solicited a resounding "no", then. Looks like I'll be there on my lonesome. Hey ho, more Hume and MCauley t-shirts for me then.
Tilley Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 I'm back Got my tickets, & ordered my shirt, Shit I'm sad
davieG Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 The ST's are a bit tacky i think. Bring back the swipe cards and pay on entry options
Daggers Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 As they sing on the terraces - what a wasted journey. There's fuck all in the sale (unless you are 2) and you can't buy a ticket for the friendlies (apart from Brum). Well done City - the first own goal of the season.
