Ashley Posted 6 July 2008 Author Posted 6 July 2008 Two legs are fine with us I'd imagine (hate speaking for an entire football team without asking). We're playing a return fixture against the fcunited blokes up in manc. ALso, doe you lot know if there's a league for east mids supporters teams like the one they have in the north west? I've not heard nothing but like I said in my previous post we could get something going? League or Cup Leicester Forest Derby Coventry Westbrom Wolves Walsall Just an idea?
Bert Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Nice idea in principal, but priority should be given in the larger events like this one for the simple reason that we know the regular people will show up.I'm all for intergrating "new" folk into the mix, absolutely. But in my experience it's the same people that say they'll show up every time and always pull out for one reason or another or just don't show up. Bit unfair to a massive list of reserves if we randomize it and only have about 14 on the day with, say for example, LD3, LFF, Sparky and Ash sat on their arses at home missing out. Yeah, i was just throwing it in as another idea.
Tevez Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Mansfield Northampton Notts County Stenhouismuir? (Community Shield)
Bert Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 MansfieldNorthampton Notts County Stenhouismuir? (Community Shield) Tuwaaaaaaaaat.
Tommeh Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 I've not heard nothing but like I said in my previous post we could get something going? League or CupLeicester Forest Derby Coventry Westbrom Wolves Walsall Just an idea? Playing cov away will just be on a park with no nets and taking on a team in tracksuits.
Ashley Posted 6 July 2008 Author Posted 6 July 2008 Midlands based teams. Leicester Nottingham Forest Derby County Coventry City Mansfield Town Macclesfield Town? Northampton Town Notts County Stoke City Wallsall Westbromich Albion Wolves Peterbrough
Flynny Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Under 21's - Team 1Over 21's - Team 2 ? I don't see a problem with having two reasonably different teams, but there's no real need to sort them like that. If it was home and away the teams would differ just from how availible people were, I'd imagine.
Bert Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 We should mix the team with a bit of youth and experience, that's my view on it. Was just speaking to my uncle albert, and we both agreed that not everyone is going to agree on things, so maybe we should get the polls out?

What if people don't agree on the questions? We should defer to someone we agree to let organise it first.

Agreed also getting in touch with other clubs forums to see if there is an interest with a Midlands League/Cup
Tevez Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Anyone up for a game vs "Come And Get Your Dinner F.C" They're a group set up my Drogheda Fans.
Uncle Albert Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 What if people don't agree on the questions? We should defer to someone we agree to let organise it first. DavieG or Sparky. Obviously if they dont mind.
Bert Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Agreed also getting in touch with other clubs forums to see if there is an interest with a Midlands League/Cup Let's get this game out of the way first yeah? It's hard enough to organise an FT game, let alone against other forums, so if we concentrate on this first, then get cracking on this? Well, Flynny, mr ****ing pedantic First maybe we should try and arrange a date, and take thinsg from there, No point organising it all for x amount of people to drop out.
Flynny Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 DavieG or Sparky.Obviously if they dont mind. Definitely if they're up for doing it.

Flynny Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 We should have done before. We're never going to play 22 people in a proper game. Might as well let it keep growing and decide the cut off later. When people drop out people'll move down anyway.
RedHux Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 So how are we going to get a date organised? bit tricky to book a pitch this time on a sunday night. I'll let you all knowwhen we book one and it's all sorted.
Ashley Posted 6 July 2008 Author Posted 6 July 2008 So how are we going to get a date organised? Ask the Forest forum for a set of dates which is best for them, same with us then come to some kind of agreement from there?
