General Smuts Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 Its a tad harsh on people like Bert and Myself who've been at every other event bar the TB game, but i'd happily turn up or be on the reserve list or whatever. Has anyone got a list of the 15/16 that played against TB to cross reference with the list of 28 we have now?
Bert Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 I said that, even if i didn't make the cut, I would still go along. I certainly think that priority of some sort should come into it. 1. Tevez 2. Foxhateram 3. C-man 4. Cobbo 5. Ched 6. Manwell 7. Uncle Albert 8. Kilworth 9. Tommeh 10. Flynny 11. Ashley 12. Scoweh 13. Ld3 14. Sparky 15. Finners All the chappies that played in the Tb Game.

Finners All the chappies that played in the Tb Game. 22 man squad Those 15 get priority and the other 7 places go to the people who have made the most appearances in other FT events (the 3 O21s v U21s and the 5-a-side)

So him included. Every FT game and tourny: (Not on list) -(Add more if people can remember) Bert Maybes Wilkesy Jme Tomassi syston-fox (Missed 1st ft game and tb) Hullfox (Missed tourny and tb)

Dont think that's gonna be enough to get me in the squad though. Scrap my idea - it was crap. Priority to those who played in TB game and then to people from Syston, then ever presents
Bert Posted 8 July 2008 Posted 8 July 2008 1. Tevez 2. OriginalRobboFox 3. C-man 4. Cobbo 5. Ched 6. Manwell 7. Uncle Albert 8. Kilworth 9. Tommeh 10. Flynny 11. Ashley 12. Scoweh 13. Ld3 14. Sparky 15. Finners 16. The Singh 17. Foxhateram (Ruled out.)

Katy Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Someone needs to take charge here and say this is going to happen like this and that is it.

allard7 Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Good idea on the priority, if it was at the lough pitch id turn up anyway as i live down the road But... its a foxestalk team i think if you could norrow it down to 20-22 then it would be good, as im sure not everyone could play a hole game ?
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Maybe people should stop getting so stressed. Even if 25+ people put their names down it always whittles down to about 17 anyway due to people saying the following, Poster ''Yeah man I'll defo be up for this....'' 1 week later, Poster ''Might be working now, but hopefully still ok for this....'' 2 days before the event, Poster ''Sorry guys cant make it, working/got no money/no trains/holiday etc'' So everyone jus chill Winstons...
Manwell Pablo Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Exactly. As has been said we had 23 names down for the talking balls game, about 16 turned up and the Singh was on the pitch for about 35 seconds. I'll do another thread actually like I did with the TB game see what people think.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Good work mabs... Maybe people should have caps on their profile ie. OriginalRobboFOX FT Caps: 3
Flynny Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Seems to have been sorted nicely by consensus anyway. Though I would say that I suppose.

OriginalRobboFOX Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Do you have the power? Do it Katy..... Do it, do it, do it, do it.... Or make others do it....

AoWW Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 I really couldn't give a fuck who is or isn't on the team, tbh. There was me thinking this was supposed to be for fun?!! Cheers for the arsey PMs though folks.

AoWW Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Name and Shame? Sorry, but no I'd rather not name and shame. Tempting as it is. Is obvious which way the voting is going to go anyway. I was only trying to 'fight the corner' of those who can't (for very good reasons - mainly geographical, particularly with the cost of travel) get to these kinda games regularly. Seems to me pretty unfair that they're effectively ruled out of being involved in the future. The commitment some people have shown in travelling many miles to get to maybe just one or two of these games is pretty impressive in my opinion - yet they'll only have a minimal number of caps against their name. I know there are several others who would like to be in on a game sometime but haven't yet been able to get to any. Unlucky for them, eh, as places will go to the 'regulars' (the majority of whom live in/near Leicester so, in all fairness, it's been easier for them to attend). And, no, they probably won't even be looking in this thread to vote and give their opinion - why would they? I can understand why those who've played in the most games feel they should take priority. But I also feel there's alot of narrow minded 'as long as I'm ok' attitude going on. The point I've raised though seems to have been spectacularly (and conveniently, by many) missed. I just feel that some people will be unfairly ruled out by this system. End of.

I just feel that some people will be unfairly ruled out by this system. End of. That's fair enough. Who are these several others then? Can they not speak for themselves? One of the big things are, is that if we're going to try and make a good crack of this, we need to be able to know and trust that when people say that they're going to turn up, then they will, because others could miss out if not.
Tevez Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 I think Finners pointed out that the group we have, we can always rely on each other.
Manwell Pablo Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 S'all bollocks anyway we've never had a situation where we've had the full quota of people turn up, except for Saturday, but even then the games could of been upped to 7 a side if need be. In general you get your name down you'll more than likely play.
