Fosse Boy Posted 17 February 2010 Posted 17 February 2010 :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: at Brent meeting Scott!!! There's no way Gervais would agree to do it unless the scirpt etc. were absolutely spot on. Should be cracking. Shame he's the only character from the English version to appear in it. Gareth meeting Dwight would be comedy gold.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 February 2010 Posted 18 February 2010 Really struggled to get into the American version whenever I've tried watching it, enjoy the English 1 alot though. Took me a good 3 years to get in to it, i thought i was being a trader to the British one. Then watched 4 eps in a row one day whilst bored and fell in love.
ozleicester Posted 18 February 2010 Posted 18 February 2010 Once i accepted that this was a very different show, even though on the same premise, i learnt to love it. Will be interesting to see the meeting of "the minds", i see them as very different characters and will take some skilled writing to have them both remain true to character and be funny. We saw Gervais in Portsmouth (or southampton, somewhere down there) last year and the man is a genius, but i havent taken to his movies. Extras was even more superb writing.
Simi Posted 19 February 2010 Posted 19 February 2010 does anybody know if any of the series that haven't been on itv4 / comedy central are going to be shown? Treat yourself. SOCCERROO FOX Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Been watching season 6 and the show just seems to keep be entertaing, still loving it 100 episodes down the track.
ozleicester Posted 7 March 2010 Posted 7 March 2010 Watching season 6... disapointed, seems to have lost the comedic edge and become a soap opera?
Simi Posted 7 March 2010 Posted 7 March 2010 Watching season 6... disapointed, seems to have lost the comedic edge and become a soap opera? Latest episode was hilarious, but this season has been below par.
Simi Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 New episode is pure gold, again. "They say that no man is an island. FALSE. I am an island. And this island is volcanic. And it is about to erupt with molten hot larvar of strategy."
Daggers Posted 13 March 2010 Author Posted 13 March 2010 Watched the latest four episodes last night, which turned out to be three and a mislabelled one, and felt they ebbed away. And as for the baby hysteria - ugh. That's not what I watch comedy for; pathos is fine and well in Fools & Horses but this isn't the vehicle for it.

lildave3 Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 If anybody else has been like me and waited until it's shown on TV, Season 4 is on Comedycentral next Wednesday.

bluefox9er Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 OOoh, I want. Can someone talk me through downloading it and converting to dvd format or something? I can't afford to buy this, but want it. would you steal a ferrari just because you can't afford it?
Simi Posted 16 October 2010 Posted 16 October 2010 Any thoughts on Season 7 yet? Just about to give episode 3 a viewing. I think it's going to get a lot better. Started off fairly solid though, latest episode (4) has been the best by far to me. You can see how they're forming the script to go with it being Carrel's last season.
