I was skeptical when I first heard about an American version but I have to say it's fantastic! Probably my favorite show at the moment.

Series 5 does not drop the ball - this is cracking!

The newest one...'Stress Relief' made me laugh, a lot! :crylaugh:

When it first came out I heard the copies of the English show were rubbish, but since its moved on and become a show in its own right it's bloody brilliant.

I think I might have to get on this tonight.

At first when I heard that the yanks were remaking this my heart sunk but after watching it thought it was brilliant. Like others have stated the jokes are better than the english version but I will always prefer the english version as it was the first version I watched.

I like the episode when they have the diversity day :giggle:

I dunno, a lot of people say this. I don't think he is really, i just think the guy who plays Dwight overacts and it's clear he's acting whereas Gareth is such a believable character and everyone knows someone like that lol

I found that to be a problem on the US Office too. Don't get me wrong I still think it's a great show, but you do become very aware that it's a sitcom you're watching.

Yeah, but that's why I like it. It's different. If it was 5 seasons of the UK version it'd be guff.

Got to the end of season two yesterday. TENSE

I'm on a coach at the moment. I just spent ten minutes watching the DVD logo bounce around the screen at the front to see if it hit the corner. I actually clenched my fist and said "YES" outloud when it did. I've almost finished season 4, then I've got season 5 to look forward to

Its huge over here but I still dont like it compared the the original its just not in the same league.

But if I hadnt seen the original I'd probably like the US version but I just cant help but comparing them when I watch it.

The UK one for me was just more intelligent and even though I think Steve Carell is great he isn't anywhere near as good as gervais.

I think the US version like most American comedy is more obvious, and the best thing about the UK version was that it was much more subtle in its humour and I prefer that.

Episode 13 of season 5, the double episode, the one that starts with the "Fire Drill".

Ahahahahaha. Best episode of it yet possibly.

No-one?

That's the thing. If you don't sit there comparing it to the original it's ace. I just view them as different programmes. One's a subtle comedy based around a documentary on the Office, the other is a brash American sitcom which is funny in a different way. I'm loving it :D I am going to watch the original again though when I've finished with this, that's amazing.

Edit: that wasn't meant to sound like I was having a pop because you were comparing it, it's just my general view on the matter
