Samilktray Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 Does anyone have any links for downloads/torrents for the Yank version?
purpleronnie Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 That's the thing. If you don't sit there comparing it to the original it's ace. I just view them as different programmes. One's a subtle comedy based around a documentary on the Office, the other is a brash American sitcom which is funny in a different way. I'm loving it I am going to watch the original again though when I've finished with this, that's amazing.Edit: that wasn't meant to sound like I was having a pop because you were comparing it, it's just my general view on the matter You're right I wish I could watch the American one without comparing it to the UK one, I've tried, I just can't help it.

Flynny Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 I watched that one last night I was in stiches when Dwight cut the dummy's face off Hahaha I'd actually forgotten that bit! "Stanley you are black! Barack is president!"
Alexikokopops Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 Hahaha I'd actually forgotten that bit! "Stanley you are black! Barack is president!" Mrs. Albert Hannaday looked like a cracking film.
Flynny Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 Mrs. Albert Hannaday looked like a cracking film. It should have been real.

Alexikokopops Posted 23 May 2009 Posted 23 May 2009 Watched the last episode of season 5 last night. Stupid cliff hangers
Edmund Posted 23 May 2009 Posted 23 May 2009 Loving this program more and more with every watch. I like how they have incorporated there own stories. Always thought the office uk was too short.
Stuliasz Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Watched the last episode of season 5 last night. Stupid cliff hangers Just watched it myself. I can't deal with the wait to find out who won that volleyball game
The Birch Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 I've not seen any of the American Office, not sure anyone could beat Gervais as David Brent, might try and watch it, it was on BBC3 I think the other week but was just finishing as I turned it on.
lildave3 Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 I've been watching the series they're showing on Weds nights on Comedy Central - it's brilliant. I absolutely love it.
Stuliasz Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 I've been watching the series they're showing on Weds nights on Comedy Central - it's brilliant.I absolutely love it. I only started watching it a couple of months ago and I have to admit I was completely taken by surprise as to how brilliant it was. I think when it first came out, the only episode I saw was the pilot which was a carbon copy of the British version which was never going to compare. Since then though, the other episodes that they have written themselves are outstanding and I can not wait for series 6. I don't think you can fail to fall in love with Pam either.
Flynny Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 The actors make it. Steve Carell is one of those people who is very difficult not to like in whatever he does and I don't think I can fault anyone else at all. Creed doesn't get enough screentime.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Love the start of some of the episodes.......especially the one wear jim dresses up as dwight.
Simi Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Creed doesn't get enough screentime. That's very true mate. Makes me piss whenever he says anything. There was one bit the other week when I was watching it that got me, he claimed Michael was dead and Jim said he'd just got a text from Michael and Creed goes. "What's a text?" I just broke down, hilarious. Kevin, Creed and Dwight are all class.
Flynny Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 How far through it are you? There's a bit I love with Kevin but I don't want to ruin it. Edit: Oh you're on season 5, that's fine. In that case, I love the bit where Holly is told Kevin is disabled.
Simi Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 How far through it are you? There's a bit I love with Kevin but I don't want to ruin it.Edit: Oh you're on season 5, that's fine. In that case, I love the bit where Holly is told Kevin is disabled. That is class as well. I'm just loving the whole thing at the moment. Dwight's interaction with the camera is class, got to love the little faces he pulls.
Samu Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Probably Creeds finest moment was a few weeks ago when he was playing chess with Jim and he told Jim he wanted to set him up with his niece I think. When Jim tells Creed he is with Pam, Creed says he thought Jim was gay. Classic! That is class as well. I'm just loving the whole thing at the moment.Dwight's interaction with the camera is class, got to love the little faces he pulls.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 Creed's finest moment was when he got the girl at the paper printing company sacked, then does a whipper around to get her a farwell and keeps the money.
Samu Posted 18 September 2009 Posted 18 September 2009 Just watched the first episode of the 6th season, I love this show! Favourite line: Michael: 'How long have you known about the pregnancy; a week, a month...a year' Also, type in Creed Bratton into the ITunes Music Store, what a legend!
