Corky Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 I hate goal music, and Chelsea Dagger makes it worse. When we scored last night, I celebrated and then clapped normally when the music played. Kids dancing to it isn't too bad, but fully grown adults? Makes me cringe.

Especially as it was the most important home game since Oxford Utd in 1991. To be fair we were probably ruining his enjoyment of the radio/sleep/A.N.Other past-time. God that was an annoying match. I'm not going to not celebrate a goal simply because of the music; I can't, nine out of ten times I'm too drunk to care what the hell is being played on the PA System. Maybe when we start scoring on a more frequent basis I'll be able to work out a suitable response once it ceases to be such an infrequent occurrence - but in the meantime I'll carry on acting like a right twat.

Thats the way forward pal...especially in L1!!! Personally by the time a goal for us has gone in im already up and jumping and probably in the arms of the person unfortunate to be seated next to me(philce!!!!!). I dont really think"Oh its the bloody Chelsea dagger" i think i'll just sit down and not celebrate. For fcuk sake we seldomn have owt to clelebrate as it is,im not gonna let some crappy music refrain me from jumping up and hu8gging strange men...

Corky Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 I remember the Stoke match back in 2005/2006, first home match, and we had Carnival De Paris after the goals (all four of them ). That sounded brilliant, the crowd loved it. If we are to have goal music, I'd rather have that.

After the first goal yesterday it all came flooding back. Hate it! Maybe a banner on the kop saying get rid might do the trick but i doubt it. The only other option is to stubbornly have nothing to do with it like i do
