In the last 14 sessons, Leicester have only won 3 times on the opening day, so don't get your hopes up for saturday

06-07 Luton 0-2 - No way of putting it. Bad preformance, bad season.

05-06 Sheffield Utd 1-4 - Bad luck but no progress show. Story of the season.

04-05 West Ham 0-0 - Unspectacular. Story of the season.

03-04 Southampton 2-2 - Gave away a 2 goal lead. Story of the season.

02-03 Watford 2-0

01-02 Bolton 0-5

00-01 Aston Villa 0-0

99-00 Arsenal 1-2

The first game tells a story. To be honest I didn't follow City as much prior to 2002 but I'm sure there was more similarities.

and we have the whole ' first game curse' dont we, what was it?? no manager had won their first cometitive game for us in ages or something like that? it obviously popped up a couple of times last season with the different managers! but didnt holloway win his first for us (bristol 2-0) or is the 'curse' for the first game of the season?

Yep, Kevin Phillips scored a cracker for Southampton, Dickov (pen) and sir Les for us

Wasn't us against Middlesborough the same but they beat us 4-3, I have a bad memory

Negativity isnt going to do us a favour, we deserve to be excited about the first game of the season after last season. We also deserve to be optimistic and say we are going to kill the dons 5-0.

07-08 Blackpool 0-1 - Too much hype and was abit smash and grab but even then you could we needed a goal scorer.

06-07 Luton 0-2 - Why Kelly isn't a manager

05-06 Sheffield Utd 1-4 - To be honest we were robbed by a dodey ref, one stage we looked like winning

04-05 West Ham 0-0 - West Ham where favorites with us, so a point looked good

03-04 Southampton 2-2 - The story of our season.

02-03 Watford 2-0 - First game at the walkers and we had a good side

01-02 Bolton 0-5 - Taylor

00-01 Aston Villa 0-0 - We played pretty poor and Ade did have a 1 on 1 and guess what ?!

99-00 Arsenal 1-2 - Was 1-1 till Frank turned into a Arsenal player

98-99 Man Utd 2-2 - Dodgey Ref, was 2-0 and he added about 20 mins injury time and Beckham scored a free kick

97-98 ]Villa 1-0 - Super Ian Marshall, we got off to a cracking start that season beat Liverpool next game

96-97 Sunderland 0-0 - Remember going to this, was Keller Debut and Heskey and Robins played up top

95-96 Sunderland 1-0 - I'm pretty sure this was 2-1 and Corcia and Robins scored

94-95 Newcastle 1-3 - Draper missed a penalty

We were 3-1 up at Middlesbrough that year, and in the 93rd minute Maccarone scored for them, and a minute later Curtis wanked the ball into his own goal.

So it were 3-3.

Worst thing about that i think Izzet scored in about the 75 min and i was like 2 season on the trot !!! The i think Keller went off and then Teddy scored via a deflection and then injury time went on for aggggges and then twato scored.

blackpool was a shock to all last year but then beating watford was just amazing feeling walking away from the ground and head started to look up agen

6days to go im excited and looking forward to it
