Bagging a footballer

Why?

There was a programme on a while back where loads of young women went out and specifically targeted footballers, hoping to bag one. You go out into town on a Saturday night, and if you happen to see any of the City squad out, there's a load of wannabe WAGs hanging about on the off-chance.

As you can probably guess, I just don't get it.

Some of you might think that this post is the mumblings of some jealous cow. Yes, I am harsh on myself and I can put myself down better than anyone else, but believe it or not, I have turned footballers down. The egos I can cope with, but the fact that I knew that one of the players who tried it on with me was engaged at the time was enough to put me off. That and the fact I didn't actually fancy the bloke! Yet even after the public humiliation of having their partner's infidelity broadcast to the world, the likes of Colleen and Cheryl would rather forgive than walk away and retain some dignity.

What is it about a footballer that makes them so irresistible? In many cases, it isn't their good looks! The only benefit I can see is the glamorous lifestyle, but if you are going to sleep with someone to keep you in Gucci handbags and Jimmy Choos, isn't that tantamount to prostitution?

I have been bored today, can you tell? lol

It must be the money.

Don't we have a WAG on this forum? Maybe we could find out from her?

Or her "dummy" account.

On the Cheryl Cole thing, I don't know why she didn't walk away. She was famous in her own right before she got with Cashley, she had plenty, and still has, of money, and will still be in demand because of her looks and career.

The lasses at Fosse City call themselves WAG's and it always makes me titter but no, I cannot see the attraction myself unless they were genuinely nice or whatever but very few are IMO (I'm talking 'professional' footballers here not Sunday league lads)

Exactly, but I have my own theory about that marriage.

On the one hand we have an alleged racist, and the other a bloke rumoured to be gay. With the same management team. How better to stop the gossips. :dunno:

I'm sure you'd make a good WAG Katy, because you actually have an interest in football and understand how a player's career could develop at a certain club, know what move is right and so on.

That has reminded me of Suzy Walker, and how she thought we had scored in the second half of a game, not realising that they changed ends! lol

Have you seen the ads on about Callum Best on MTV he's trying to go 50 days without sex.

Tv doesn't get much more gripping than that.

A whole 50 days? What a martyr.
