Guest Posted 14 August 2008 Posted 14 August 2008 Last year on holiday, I purchased a pair of Levis jeans. They fit, and I was pleasantly surprised as I had never found a pair I could wear due to what I find is the "funny cut". I could try one size and not get them past my thighs, but the next size up would be snug on the legs yet gape at the waist. I always put this down to me being a funny shape, and thought that when I finally found a pair that fit, I had moulded my body to the perfect Levis shape. I was wrong. Yes, that's right. Me. Wrong. This year I purchased another pair of Levis, the exact same size as last year's pair, the only difference being the style. Muffin top does not come close to describing the sight of what lies above the waistline. It took me a good 5 minutes to get the button closed. Don't even ask about the zip.... And as I try to stretch them by wearing them (baggy top required), the pain is unbelievable. I am thoroughly depressed.
Unabomber Posted 14 August 2008 Posted 14 August 2008 Woodbury outlet in New York = Levi's for $18 just incase you are ever in there
Jordan Posted 14 August 2008 Posted 14 August 2008 Woodbury outlet in New York = Levi's for $18 just incase you are ever in there Haha, Woodbury Commons is teeming with shaggy-haired, G-Star-wearing Britons I might be in the market for some skinny Levis soon, so if I add a few other items to my list, a trip 'cross the river there might be in order. (Edit: just realized that I'm rockin Levis in my sig. I don't think I wear any other brand of jeans now, can't be bothered to try anything else)

Bellend Sebastian Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 With Levis, even if you buy the same style twice in the same size, they're rarely the same. This is why I don't buy them over the web or anything. I have to go into an actual shop and mingle with the dirty proles. Urgh
Guest Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 Take them back? Do you actually read what you reply to. I wouldn't mind but you're not even trying to be funny.
Katy Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 so, basically, you're telling us that you're fat, right...odd thing for a woman to declare, but.... Don't even go there....

Trav Le Bleu Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 Haven't bought a pair of brand jeans in years, but I used to have a great pair of Lee Riders. They were sooooo comfortable. Now, being married and much older, I no longer see the need to impress by label - hence the numerous George jeans in my drawers.

I also liked the style, which is why I spent an age trying to find what I thought was my size. Was it not for the fact Grumpy Carl had already left the shop, I would have tried them on. Ladies of this forum - never go shopping with a bloke. Never.

This is because a bloke knows what he wants, stalks it, pounces... erm... Anyway, it's all primeval. If shops looked more like caves and mannequins more like mammoths, men would be better shoppers!
