Big Al Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Im coming in by train on tuesday, what station is the best to get of at, as iv been told there are two stations .
Fosse Boy Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Im coming in by train on tuesday, what station is the best to get of at, as iv been told there are two stations . The mainline station you'll first come to is just called Colchester, though it's known locally as Colchester North. This is also the nearest ground to the new ground. However, if you fancied sampling the town centre and its pubs, then a shuttle service runs to Colchester Town station which is more central. Alternatively, the 62 bus (and others) will take you into town from North station.
Sods Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 fooking COLCHESTER ****S! 24 quid for a freeking adult. This has ruined me financially. Ive done it though, regretting it, yes. Row J.

General Smuts Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 How the fook did this sell out! I lied - Colchester are selling these bad boys now. Number for anyone who'll want it - 08712262161, some saucy little minxes on that line! Back row represent! I can pass for 18 right?
martyn Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 What is the deal with ringing Colchester for tickets? Can you simply ring up, book your tickets now and collect at the stadium, or is it just pay at the gate only?
Sods Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Whats the deal with selling prices for different blocks. Its not as if there is going to be any pillars in the way.

I'll be starting my day in the Students' Union tomorrow, then moving on to The Playhouse in town, then The Norfolk, then the game.
hebangsthedrums Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 I'm finishing work near Slough early at 4, reckon I can make it round the dreaded m25 for KO? If so... What is the deal with ringing Colchester for tickets? Can you simply ring up, book your tickets now and collect at the stadium, or is it just pay at the gate only?
Joe. Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Colchester tickets are now pay on the gate only I'm lead to believe...
Colchester fan Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 I'm finishing work near Slough early at 4, reckon I can make it round the dreaded m25 for KO? If so... You should be ok mate, unless there are any major accidents of course, Slough to Colchester around 2 hours I would say, I have a daughter in Teddington which I can make in around 90 minutes. As regards tickets you can ring the ticket office and collect on the day, or just turn up and pay at the ticket office when you get there, you cant pay cash on the gate though, either way the wait can be lengthy!
Colchester fan Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Whats the deal with selling prices for different blocks. Its not as if there is going to be any pillars in the way. The more expensive tickets are right behind the goal in the centre of the pitch the cheaper ones are on the flanks near the corner flags, either way you get a good view, many away fans have paid the lower prices and then moved into the more expensive areas that were not sold, although this could be restricted in your case as you will have a lot more fans than the other 3 teams so far.
General Smuts Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Colchester tickets are now pay on the gate only I'm lead to believe... I bought mine this morning from Colchester ticket office on the above number. The fit sounding lass said they'd taken over selling them for us as of the smorning.
Simi Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Colchester tickets are now pay on the gate only I'm lead to believe... Yeah, it's on the OS. I've updated the stickied thread with that and parking information to, click to see.
