Managed to see most of the Real game and they look great going forward, same old though at the back.

I can see them thumping Milan though and on this showing Barca will struggle with Inter in the CL. Inter have impressed me tonight.

Edit: Impressive Inter make it 4-0 with a spectacular strike from Stankovic.

Great to see La Liga up and running, best league in the world. Saw some of the Real game seems like they still have defensive problems to sort out but very entertaining to watch I guess they should be after all the dosh they've spent.

Inter really tought Milan a lesson tonight. Even before they went down to ten men, they were being embarassed and outclassed. Gatusso had two instances of "rushes of blood to the head" and committed two needless offences. Pato was the only real outlet for Milan, showing odd glimpses of his talent, but he didn't shine like he can, although Huntelaar tried his best when he came on and at least forced the issue a bit.

All aspects of Inter's game were solid and I'm pleased I put them down for a Champions League win after what I've seen tonight. Julio Cesar is as solid as they come between the sticks, their defence features the likes of Chivu and Maicon, along with calm old heads like Zanetti and Lucio (who's slotted in nicely). The midfield looks to have a great mixture of defensive steel and attacking creativity, with players like Cambiasso and Stankovic complimenting new boy Sneijder brilliantly. Even Motta, who i don't really rate, had a great game tonight before injury forced him off. Add to that the frontline of arguably the most potent goalscorer in the world in Eto'o and the criminally under rated Milito and there's enough quality there for a Champions League triumph. Santon and Balotelli look like top class prospects to boot.

A great game of football, some fantastic play, really enjoyed, although there is one setback. Ronaldinho is not half the player he used to be, tonight he looked uninterested and his general attitude was woeful. Shame to see someone who was such a great player at his peak reduced to a diving, moaning mess.

Good post TC.

My favourite game of the day to be honest. Sneijder was quality tonight, very good signing for Inter. I thought Seedorf was the only Milan player trying and he played less than half the game. Milan need a massive overhaul, they are light years behind Inter at the moment. Early days yet but two good weekends of Serie A with Juve V Roma to enjoy tomorrow.

Oh and as for Ronaldinho, I agree, he is barely recognisable now. A shame indeed.

Edit: Tenerife were robbed in that game with Zaragoza, they played some nice football tonight. Pennant done well too in spells, good lad.

Cheers. I'd fancy Juve to stick one over on Roma tomorrow, they've been virtually a one man team for far too long, how long they can rely on either Totti / Vucinic when things get rough I don't know.

That said, there are one or two players that can produce little pieces of magic (Pizarro/Taddei/Perrotta), but for me, their squad really does lack the depth of quality that Inter and Juve can boast.

Serie A will be a very exciting league this season, no doubt.

Robben scored twice for Bayern as they beat Wolfsburg 3-0.

What a hero.

It was on ESPN and Robben was on fire!!

Him and Ribery absolutely tore Wolfsburg apart when they came on and I really don't understand why Real Madrid want Ribery when they could have just kept Robben!! lol

Mario Gomes is a fecking donkey though. He's the German Berbatov except without the skill.

I read Bayern paid 35m euros for him? Surely they didn't. Robben is a quality player, I would have loved him to come back to the prem.

How did Sneijder get on last night? I know they won 4-0 but how was his performance? I missed both games

Can safely say Athletico have cost me £44, 2-0 down now.

I'd be in the same boat, if Hearts hadn't bloody drawn with St Johnstone.

3-0 Malaga. Fuck off.

Greats result for them, obviously not good for you. I need Juve to win here or my European bet slip is over before it has begun.

I really thought Athletico would win but not to be, today started well aswell. Everton, Aston Villa, Hamburg, Ajax and PSG all won/winning. Today will end an awful weekend of betting by myself.

Hope Juve can do something for you mate.

I hope so mate. I have had a bad weekend so far with mine as well.

I was going to put Atletico on but it struck me as one of those tough ones just purely because of the first game and all that. Never expected that result at all though.

Always another week I guess. <_<

Diego 2-1. Fantastic.

Ho far are the players away from the fans?!

EDIT: Very good match.

Roma 1-3 Juventus

Rossi levelled but goals either side from Diego and a Felipe Melo solo effort in stoppage time sealed the win.
