Darkzzz_ Posted 1 September 2009 Author Posted 1 September 2009 Why would he lose his reputation? If anything, he's gotten better and better in the Serie A. It's just that most outside Italy don't follow the Serie A, and in the Champions League he failed to set the world alight against Man Utd, which seems to be the only basis people have when calling him overrated. Anelka, who let's be fair got most of the goals served on a plate last year, is not a striker that makes things happen like Ibrahimovic. By the way, that's not to put down Anelka who can be a lethal striker. Surely Zlatans move to Barca has upped his reputation, just like Anelkas did when he first moved to Real... Bang on point Shen. Whilst I am not a massive fan of Zlatan's, I have always said he has talent but doesn't deliver consistently. Picking up on your point regarding people not watching Serie A. It is a shame but a true fact that the majority of people take the opinion of Sky or some shitty newspaper to form an opinion of a player, team or league for that matter. That is why Sky make me laugh when they talk about (In their words) "Typical Italian Teams", Richard Keys and co obviously have no clue what so ever about Serie A but they have to put the boot in all the time referring back to the old habits of the league whilst saying every 5 minutes how the Premiership is the best league in the world. Serie A has changed a lot over the past years, It has become a lot more attacking and a lot more exciting, they just need to improve in the CL because the English teams to be fair have been excellent. This weekends Serie A was a joy to watch, best game of the weekend was Roma v Juve for me. Barca and Madrid games weren't that great to be honest, but it is the first game of the season.
AjcW Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id...ope&cc=5739 Spalleti has now resigned since this story was printed.
Darkzzz_ Posted 1 September 2009 Author Posted 1 September 2009 He needed to go, very surprised they allowed him to start the season as manager. Roma are poor.
Floating Fox Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Schalke fooked up about 3 of my multis......angry is an understatment all were for over a $2000 SC FRIEBURG.

Caught some of the Milan derby , certainly different to the days where the ball was passed around the back 4 at snails pace. Really enjoyed the game
CosbehFox Posted 1 September 2009 Posted 1 September 2009 Ibrahimovic is sickeningly over-rated. I thought the same but then he put on the shirt of Barca!
Darkzzz_ Posted 2 September 2009 Author Posted 2 September 2009 Caught some of the Milan derby , certainly different to the days where the ball was passed around the back 4 at snails pace. Really enjoyed the game Exactly. It has moved on a lot now, I think football in general has. Obviously there are times when teams need to do it. Like Chelsea did against Barca, I didn't agree with it and I did go over the top in my blasting of them, but in reality I guess you have to give credit to teams that defend well just like we do with teams that attack well. All the leagues have strengths and weaknesses, I enjoy them all though. I still need to watch a bit more Bundesliga though, I only catch it now and again.
AjcW Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 Inter Milan investigating the possibility of building a new 60,000 seater stadium... NONONONONONONONONO!!!!!! I think ive made my point.
StanSP Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 Inter Milan investigating the possibility of building a new 60,000 seater stadium...NONONONONONONONONO!!!!!! I think ive made my point. Why not?
AjcW Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 Why not? I dont know I just love the san siro and its atmosphere!! They reckon its going to be based on the allianz arena though so it may well be a good decision.
StanSP Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 I dont know I just love the san siro and its atmosphere!!They reckon its going to be based on the allianz arena though so it may well be a good decision. That's still gonna be there...? A.C Milan I assume will still play there no? Yeah Allianz Arena is pretty nice. Would like to go there.
AjcW Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 That's still gonna be there...? A.C Milan I assume will still play there no?Yeah Allianz Arena is pretty nice. Would like to go there. A.C Milan mean nothing to me . The Allianz is amazing, wembley should be ashamed.
CosbehFox Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 Why? One holds 66,000 and the other holds 90,000.
AjcW Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 Why? One holds 66,000 and the other holds 90,000. It cost 4 times as much, doesnt have anywhere near the facilities and doesnt look as nice. Sure wembley is a good stadium but the allianz beats it.
CosbehFox Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 It cost 4 times as much, doesnt have anywhere near the facilities and doesnt look as nice. I can assure you Wembley has some of the best facilities in the world. As Allianz look, what all them grey seats? Dullage.
AjcW Posted 7 September 2009 Posted 7 September 2009 I can assure you Wembley has some of the best facilities in the world. As Allianz look, what all them grey seats? Dullage. Agree to disagree?
Darkzzz_ Posted 8 September 2009 Author Posted 8 September 2009 Would be great for Inter in my opinion.
Darkzzz_ Posted 12 September 2009 Author Posted 12 September 2009 Ibra and Messi on target.... Nice. Getafe 0-2 Barca
Edmund Posted 12 September 2009 Posted 12 September 2009 Ibra and Messi on target.... Nice. Getafe 0-2 Barca Hopefully a win for Espanyol then.
Darkzzz_ Posted 12 September 2009 Author Posted 12 September 2009 Hopefully a win for Espanyol then. Would be nice, although it could smash my betting slip if it happens. I can see Real winning this 3-1.
Edmund Posted 12 September 2009 Posted 12 September 2009 Would be nice, although it could smash my betting slip if it happens.I can see Real winning this 3-1. Probably but it would be nice to see Espanyol grab the win for Dani Jarque.
BlueSi13 Posted 12 September 2009 Posted 12 September 2009 A.C Milan mean nothing to me .The Allianz is amazing, wembley should be ashamed. Have you ever actually been there? I was there today to watch 1860 Munich Vs Greuther Furth, tis an excellent stadium but to compare it to Wembley is foolish, yes it looks great on the outside, like a big blow up duvet but inside its very much dull, grey and by the numbers..... The stands are impressive due to the size but design wise, the stands don't differ much from the Walkers and it didn't keep the atmosphere in the stadium very well at all.....and don't get me started on the prices. If you prefer design over function than the Allianz wouldn't be down your street one bit.... Wembley is on another level and i don't think its fair to compare the Allianz to it
Darkzzz_ Posted 12 September 2009 Author Posted 12 September 2009 Good win for Juve, they improved in the second half to beat a decent Lazio side 2-0 in Rome. Enjoyed that game. I hope Diego's injury isn't too serious. Real looked good tonight too, ****ers.
Edmund Posted 12 September 2009 Posted 12 September 2009 Sevilla playing some wonderful football against Zaragoza. 3-1 up.
AjcW Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Going to record the inter game and watch at after newcastle, really excited, will be the first time ive watched them this season, gutted i missed the derby.
