I drew Arsenal at home in the 5th round and put up a good fight. Lost 3-2. They went 3-0 up within 20 minutes. Adam Le Fondre scored 2 goals for me

Flynny Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Only just got this installed at last. Been playing on FM08 at Uni cos my computer there inexplicably runs that like a dream but won't run 09. Anyway Leicester seems to be the easiest job in the world. Pissed League One mainly due to signing Rickie Lambert early on after he scored against me twice in the first game. Also signed a right back who wasn't bad, that was about it. Went up, asked for more money, got it, signed Kilgannon and Harewood and Hogan Ephraim for money, got Stuart Taylor and Brian Howard on frees. Finished with 87 points which should have taken me up, only since the league is a bit weird this season I've finished 5th. Bolton finished with 113 fooking points, two other teams on 100+. Mental. About to do the playoffs, nailbiting stuff. Oh, forgot to mention sneaky FA Cup semi-final, too. Beat Hull and Newcastle in the 5th and 6th rounds, lost 2-1 to Everton in an even game

FilboFox Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Completed my first season with Leicester and it went very well: League One: 1st with 108pts League Cup: 3rd Round (lost to Liverpool) FA Cup: 5th Round (lost to Newcastle) JP Trophy: Won Have just started my second season, well am about to play my first game, and have made 2 signings... Ricky Lambert up front from Bristol Rovers for 1.2 million and Ben Foster from Man Utd for free! They didn't renew his contract and I beat off other teams by offering him that little bit more. I think that's me sorted and I should have a good Championship season... am hoping top 6 but top half would be good.

FA up 5th round League cup 4th round It's November 2009 and i'm in second place behind Reading by one point. Leicester is the only Football League team that's undefeated. Signed Akos Buzsaky for 700k from QPR. He is a menace at scoring goals. Got Glauber and Denis Souza on free transfers. Juha Hakola is an amazing right winger but gets injured every game Ferrie Bodde always scores freekicks. I love this guy. There's no Tunchev and Oakley this season Tunchev is with Man City and Oakley with Blackburn. Made lots of money off them two.

When I took the Boston job they was 1 place out the relegation zone with 15 ish games to go. I only managed about 3/4 wins with them Im hoping Sutton will be a better season for me without relegation!

Cos I had half my good players leave me at the end of the 1st season, then the 2nd season went well with me getting new players in, won my first 3 out of 4 games, then my chairman sold Paul Robinson so my defence wasnt the same after that. Then I got to the JPT Semi Final and everything was fine, then I lost 1 game and got sacked. Then my replacement stepped in and still managed to send them down further
