Failed in the FA Cup in the first season, and the League Cup in the second. Just managed to flog Nani to chelsea for £29million. They've now paid me £90million in total for Berbatov, Hargreaves and Nani . Oh, and I mentioned ages ago when I started this game that I decided to move myself from the FoxesTalk team to Man Ure for a laugh and make myself a centre forward.Well maybe someone should sign me up: :laugh:

These are the best strikers of the 2030s anyway I got Dja DjeDje for 500k because his former club were bankrupt Bargain. Goalkeepers are really good too. I signed this bastard at Preston when he was 18 for 2.5m
BoneDog Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 YES! I am buzzin. I've had FM09 for 4 months and have just finally managed to install it. I just found out what STEAM is and that did it for me. How come my game wouldn't install off the disc but STEAM just downloaded it for me? Now I don't even need me disc. I've spent 20 hours on the Data Editor putting in some new players all round the world to watch how they develop and now I'm playing. Canna believe it! I've started with Alfreton in Blue Square North.

Hehe! I'm with Leicester... as ever, and am sitting top having not lost a league game yet... come mighty close though! Think it was Cheltenham that almost had me until a last minute equaliser and some other very dodgy games... all in all though, going very well, out of the League Cup to Liverpool in Round 3 but still, happy days! Premiership in 3.

I hate it when all the other managers are constantly loving up my players same. always happens with mattock for me on my man city game carlo ancelotti, rafa benitiez, and arsene are all on his favoured persons, but no not me even though I have given him 5 years of 1st team premiership football, numerous medals, a £60,000 a week contract, and his first England cap, but no, no loving for me

Brainy Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Just played my 1000th match in football management, couldn't have picked a more boring match. 1 League Two Championship 2 auto promos 1 CL win 2 PL Championships 2 FA Cup wins 1 EURO Super Cup win 1 EURO Club WC win I've won 446 games, drew 252, lost 302, scored 1537, conceded 1205 (GD 332) and im the 9th most successful English manager.

Really pleased considered my dreadful 1st season, but I've got some tough fixtures coming up so I doubt the form will last. Haven't spent much either, still got £99m left in the transfer kitty and well over £1m positive wage deficit; overall things are looking good.
CosbehFox Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Heartbroken. Cheltenham have gone downhill. A lot of the loanees from the top clubs went back after their 6 month deals not wanting to extend until the end of the season. Since then we've gone on a 8 game losing streak with the last two games being last minute losses. Three points off staying up and 23rd!!
