Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 I'm surprised no one has started a thread about the new NFL season yet, which kicked off this weekend. Pleased to say that my team, the Philadelphia Eagles, strolled to victory in a 38-3 rout of the St.Louis Rams. Anyone else follow a team / watch any games over the weekend?

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 September 2008 Author Posted 8 September 2008 If it was a good sport, I might do. WWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Im one of these people who just watches the Superbowl Final, Giants rule! No they do not. <_<
C-man Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 Me and Fez are both Minnesota Vikings fans, so we'll be watching them defeat the Packers tonight... Possibly.
Uncle Albert Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 Is this American football? Dont act stupid all your life. And yes it is.

DeSean Jackson looks the business for the Eagles. I think he could be something special. Is this American football? Yes.
C-man Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 DeSean Jackson looks the business for the Eagles. I think he could be something special. I have to admit I'd not heard of him before last night, so I looked on his Wikipedia today and found this useless fact: DeSean typically uses Bowser while playing Mario Kart 64 and prefers green shells as his weapon.

Hopefully he'll be as effective as T.O was, minus the attitude. Eveything hinges on McNabbs fitness though.
DB11 Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 Dont act stupid all your life. And yes it is. How do I know what NFL i. I didn't know if it was baseball or hockey or whatever they all have abbreviations over there
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 Me and Fez are both Minnesota Vikings fans, so we'll be watching them defeat the Packers tonight... Possibly. I went to bed as soon as I got in from work, got in a couple of hours which I am hoping will compensate for the likely 4am end to today after the Murray-Nadal match and Vikings-Packers... This could go horribly wrong. As an aside, I think we will probably lose. As usual. Least we have Peterson now though.

And Travaris Jackson had a half decent pre season. Perhaps I'm clutching at straws there though.

We've been treading water ever since Culpepper and Moss were broken up.
Fox You Forest Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 I don't really support any team, I do watch as many games as i can though. I have the late game from last night on sky+ to watch after Dragons Den and Ross Kemp. If i had to choose a team it would be Cincinnati for Chad Johnson's touchdown celebrations, I think he's changed his name to something ridiculous also.

After living like LD3 for the past 10 days (ie, wake up after midday go to bed at gone 5) whilst on holiday, staying up tonight is not a good idea!
Ultra Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 The Bears stuffed Indianapolis 28-13. Shame they couldn't do it in last year's Super Bowl!
placidcasual Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 If i had to choose a team it would be Cincinnati for Chad Johnson's touchdown celebrations, I think he's changed his name to something ridiculous also. Yep. He has changed his name to Chad Ocho Cinco.
placidcasual Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 Oh and Tom Brady of the Patriots has knee knack. Out for the season.
Alexikokopops Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 Need to get on this now I have Sky Sports for the first time in about five years.
Fox You Forest Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 Yep. He has changed his name to Chad Ocho Cinco. Any reason for that name? Or was it just random?
Alexikokopops Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 Any reason for that name? Or was it just random? Ocho Cinco is Spanish for 85. That's his jersey number.
placidcasual Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 Ocho Cinco is Spanish for 85. That's his jersey number. And he is a mentalist.
Bert Posted 8 September 2008 Posted 8 September 2008 My brother Likes the BENGALS. I like whoever's winning. Only joking, Miami Dolphins or Tampa Bay for Bert.
