Mark Posted 23 November 2008 Author Posted 23 November 2008 Updated. Yeah we can cope without Fryatt.
Lillehamring Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 oakley and king - 3 assists between 'em - that can't be right. what is also odd is that, for all this justification of howard keeping his place on what he provides, he still has less assists than gradel, who has struggled to keep his place, i guess it's not all about stats is then... - it's a funny old game...

I've not seen Howard taking many corners or free kicks to be honest.

CosbehFox Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 Howard does do a lot of releasing players though in the build-up to goals, taking two players and then passing for someone to provide the killer pass. Dyer at Orient was the best showing of this.
Bert Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 well done... At least 4 of Gradels 7 assists have come from corners and free kicks, Howard doesn't take corners or free kicks.
Simi Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 well done... Well you were questioning people that say Howard is a worthy of a place, when the person that's not playing that is ahead of him is the corner or free kick taker, where generally you're going to get more chances at assists.
Bert Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 Howard might be becoming the new chosen one tbh though. If Fryatt was in Howards shoes, he'd be getting slated.

Howard is worthy of his place though, I'm sure you agree. I did always wonder what Fryatt bought to the team apart from the goalscoring though, so when he's not scoring, it is worth questioning. In my opinion that is.

I think Big Steve is one of our most key players, and he's proving that. But I just like how it's one rule for one, but not for another. There's a few people that are the first to criticise Fryatt but when Howard gets slated they're the first to jump to his defence, but if it was the case with Fryatt, they'd hear none of it.

I've praised Fryatt this season, rightly so, I've also said Howard needs to start scoring, but he brings other things to the team.

I'm sure you'll have heard me criticise Fryatt this season too. Sometimes i just think some of it is a bit over the top.

Mark Posted 10 January 2009 Author Posted 10 January 2009 Update?Howard, Fryatt and Davies today I reckon. Updated, anyone know who set up Howard against Peterborough? I've seen no decent footage of that one.
shen Posted 10 January 2009 Posted 10 January 2009 Updated, anyone know who set up Howard against Peterborough? I've seen no decent footage of that one. Wasn't it Oakley?
Mark Posted 10 January 2009 Author Posted 10 January 2009 Wasn't it Oakley? It was him or King I wasn't 100% though.
Simi Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 Can you not update it yourself? I can't update Mark's post can I? Plus, I'm not sure when it was last updated and don't have the highlights.

Last updated Leyton Orient at home apparently. Since then, Yeovil - Davies and Cleverly. Huddersfield - Berner, Howard, not sure whether you could claim Morrison for the third and Howard.
