sbfox Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Goes to.... Jermaine Beckford. Not too fussed about that, but the fact that our Lloyd didn't even get shortlisted pisses me off a little. What do you guys and gals think? BBC Sport
Ric Flair Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 The fact Lloyd Dyer's performances are often going un-noticed in the team of the week doesn't then surprise me he wasn't even nominated for this.
SamL Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Personally, I would've given it to Lloyd. I can't believe he wasn't even nominated. He's easily been our player of the month.
Munzie Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Either Fryatt or Pearson did'nt get nominated this month. Maybe they set the benchmark last month for future performances and as such their respective performances were expected I would have thought Dyer would have been shortlisted given his goals and performance ratings. Or are we just biased? Shame these awards don't count towards the Telegraph fantasy football league. Dyer, Fryatt and Beckford all feature for my team.
kylestyle06 Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Good sign he didn't get nominated? Don't want to lose the guy in the transfer window
JakeShingler Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 How did he not? Maybe its a good think so he dont get to big headed
SamL Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Good sign he didn't get nominated? Don't want to lose the guy in the transfer window As a player, it's always nice to see your achievements are recognized. Lloyd has put in some decent performances over the course of the month and it's a shame his efforts have gone unrecognized.
Father Ted Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 It's because he'll be getting the big one at the end of the season
Corky Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 If he lifts our Player-of-the-Year award at our title parade I don't think he'll be too bothered about this P.S. I'm not saying we've won the league, just giving an example.
Brainy Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Obviously I don't know how he's performed for us in September, but 2/5 of his goals came on the last day of August or something
DB11 Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 I'm glad he didn't. Hopefully other clubs won't be as alert about him as they were with Gradel and started knocking him about a bit.
Corky Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Obviously I don't know how he's performed for us in September, but 2/5 of his goals came on the last day of August or something Played well at Orient, man-of-the-match against Hartlepool and a great winner at Colchester.
Brainy Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Played well at Orient, man-of-the-match against Hartlepool and a great winner at Colchester. Well I know how he did, just thought some people would include what he did at Cheltenham in his 'september highlights'.. like I did.
