Edmund Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/6535061/Jam...et/Product.html Just a heads up for bond fans, early xmas buyers and ebayers. Theres a typo on the site suppose to be £99.99!! Unfortunaley im not a bond fan, but sure it will appeal to a few on here. Wether they honour it or not I don't know, but they wont be able to charge you the final amount either way.
Unit Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 shit wish i had a few quid in my account! Somebody snap 20 sets up and ebay the shit out of them! GO!
Unit Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 Not even the need for ebay, i'm sure there's profits at places like CEX in town...
Samilktray Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 The great thing is they have to sell it for the price displayed. The bad thing is its Bond.
Ozwin Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 They'll blatantly cancel it, it's a pre order so the people in charge will want to get loads of cash on day 1. Not hand it out as a steal like this.
General Smuts Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 This is funny because i was talking about something similar in the car with my boss about an hour ago. I was bragging about how i paid a stupidly low amount for my Bond box set as every individual dvd was on offer for £2.50 at my work which i snapped up with my 10% discount meaning i had the entire set for £45 which at the time was a fooking bargain. A tenner however is silly money! Also geroge lazenby - my favourite bond.

Not hand it out as a steal like this. What're the actual laws on them doing that? I know in a shop they have to sell it at the price its advertised at or something so is it the same online? We shall see. Either way if they try and make me pay full price then I'll just cancel it.

I think they HAVE to sell it at the price listed don't they? I remember hearing about ASDA or somebody accidentally putting crates of stella in a catalogue for 1.20 instead of 12 quid and they HAD to honour it.
Samilktray Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 You definetly have to sell it at the price listed, be it online or instore. Ive took advantage of this a few times in the past.

Fox You Forest Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 Someone's getting sacked in the morning.
potter3 Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 So if I order this there is no chance whatsoever I'd have to pay more than a tenner for it?
Edmund Posted 14 October 2008 Author Posted 14 October 2008 It's a win win situation. They will either honour it at this price due to terms or refund the 9.99. I think retail shops do have certain terms meaning they are not obliged to sell at incorrect price but a lot of shops will honour it anyway to avoid bad publicity. This would be like losing a couple of pennys for play.com. Depends how many people have spotted it/how many have been ordered. You can't lose
Munzie Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 So if I order this there is no chance whatsoever I'd have to pay more than a tenner for it? So far so good! My e-mail confirmation shows £9.99. If they try and charge me more, I will argue the point. They don't have my authority to take any more from my card.

Alexikokopops Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 I've just sent the text to a few people. Including some on here who'll read it tomorrow anyway, ha.
Munzie Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 It'll cost me more than a tenner in pop-corn to watch that lot
Milky Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 Well that's one christmas present sorted! I might just keep it for myself actually...
Alexikokopops Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 Haha, Mablo somehow doesn't have my number. I just got this text off him: "Who the fook are you. You ****. Its 12 am. Never using play dot come ever again out of principle now" Brilliant.

Just found this as well... While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. ...under general terms and conditions. Let's see what happens.
