What?!

Just cancel the order if it's £160.

You wont get conned, we don't live in Ocean's Eleven.

I won't be happy until i've got the money i've made from re-selling this thing on again.

You've agreed to buy it for £10.

They cannot take any more money from you for this. You either get your £10 back, or you get the bargain of the century.

Right.

What do you reckon it would sell for?

Ordered.

Don't really know what's going on here.

Either a ploy by Play to get a load of people onto their site or someone has fooked uk big time and is gunna get the sack tomorrow after they've sent out all the fook off your order is cancelled emails.

Hope it's legit. Christmas present sorted. Doubt you'll get much for it on ebay. The link has been posted on every single forum I know tonight. Every **** and his dog will have ordered one by the morning.

I've ordered it too.

I find it hard to believe that a mistake as big as this would last on a website like Play.com for at least 7 hours, with half of the internet getting wind of it in the process. It's not like they all do 9-5 surely? It's a huge operation.

It would be interesting to find out how much they lost from it though if they do stick to this price, I doubt they'd get 10 orders at this price for every 1 they'd get at the full price but it'd be interesting to see. The free delivery doesn't help them either.

I've ordered, did anyone else get no form of confirmation at all? It's all still in my shopping basket.

I clicked confirm and it just went to a blank page, no email either.

That's what I was thinking too. You'd think they would have realised and changed it.

Maybe it is right... :ermm:

We're only thinking that it's really cheap is because we're comparing with other DVD products.

Play.com will still make a substantial profit on it at 9.99, after all...how much does it cost to make a DVD?

I'm pretty sure as a massive organisation they're getting it on the very cheap from the wholesalers, so I doubt it's a mistake...as Fez mentioned it would've surely been noticed and changed by now.

Surely they'll just cancel all the orders now though...

maybe ,

i suppose they could claim to be out of stock or something :(

What're the actual laws on them doing that? I know in a shop they have to sell it at the price its advertised at or something so is it the same online? We shall see. Either way if they try and make me pay full price then I'll just cancel it.

They actually don't have to sell it to you at the advertised price, even in shops. It's something about it being an invitation to trade and not a firm offer. Therefore you taking it to the counter is the offer to buy it at advertised price, if they realise an error, they can refuse to sell it at that price. Most shops would probably honour it though, just to keep the peace.

I guess because it's only a pre-order, they can just tell us to fook off. It's in the terms that they're allowed to change the price and cancel the orders. >_<
