Unit Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 my brother's just ordered 2. surely they can't piss this many people off by charging everybody full price?
Ozwin Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 This has been posted on every forum I'm a member of. There's going to be a shed load of 'sorry' emails being sent out.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 my brother's just ordered 2. surely they can't piss this many people off by charging everybody full price? Well they can because we all agreed to their terms and conditions when you register with the site, so we agreed for it to happen in these cases.
Milky Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 Just found this as well...While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. ...under general terms and conditions. Let's see what happens. They think it's all over.....It is now
Alexikokopops Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 They think it's all over.....It is now We lived the dream, if only for a moment
Munzie Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 I can feel a bit of negotiating will be needed when they try to contact me. You never know...if you don't ask, you don't get.
potter3 Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 Bah just read this in the T&C's 2.5 While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. We will use our best endeavours to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after being notified of them. If we discover an error in the price of items you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. We shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product which was advertised at an incorrect price Doh already posted
Milky Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 So we're all agreed then that foxyarmy should fund the difference. Nice one.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 I quite like play.com. It'd be like taking Pokemon cards from your friends prized collection.
Edmund Posted 14 October 2008 Author Posted 14 October 2008 Haha, Mablo somehow doesn't have my number. I just got this text off him:"Who the fook are you. You ****. Its 12 am. Never using play dot come ever again out of principle now" Brilliant.
Edmund Posted 14 October 2008 Author Posted 14 October 2008 So we're all agreed then that foxyarmy should fund the difference. Nice one. So I told you to get your debit card out of your wallet and order a copy.
Milky Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 So I told you to get your debit card out of your wallet and order a copy.
Bert Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 It doesn't look like it's a typo or anything. I'm still confident.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 It doesn't look like it's a typo or anything. I'm still confident. . It's like The Real Hustle.
Bert Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 It could be a special offer thing it could be anything.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 Yeah but R.R.P was £149.99. That's a hefty saving .
Bert Posted 14 October 2008 Posted 14 October 2008 Yeah but R.R.P was £149.99. That's a hefty saving . It says next to it how much you save too. Everything seems to looks so far so good.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 It says next to it how much you save too. Everything seems to looks so far so good. It does as well! And it was £159.99! You don't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket, I'm in on this.
lildave3 Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 I'm not even gonna bother trying though. Edit - Or do I. I can't decide.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 It does look legit but it must be too good to be true, surely?
lildave3 Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 Thing is, if god knows how many people are gonna buy this, then am I even gonna be able to flog it on again?
Milky Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 Those other figures will be calculated automatically depending on the price i'd think. All it takes is one missing nine to fook the whole system.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 Thing is, if god knows how many people are gonna buy this, then am I even gonna be able to flog it on again? Some people that buy it might be Bond fans. I'd probably keep it if I couldn't get a decent price for it. Shouldn't be too hard to flog.
