Nod.E Posted 17 October 2008 Posted 17 October 2008 I've got some coursework to be doing for Monday. Well i've been doing it at school, where we use Microsoft Word. I've sent it home to finish, and the best I have is wordpad and microsoft works. Both are useless. I've read that downloading word is like £90? Is there a free download anywhere online, or a good equivelent cos i'm now off school for the holiday. Muchos gracias, Merci beacoup.

Unabomber Posted 17 October 2008 Posted 17 October 2008 Search the torrent sites you will find something.
lookwhaticando Posted 17 October 2008 Posted 17 October 2008 OpenOffice is a good equivalent. Daggsy bagsy swears by it. Actually, Daggsy just swears a lot, but that's another story. And it'll open your .doc file as is. And it's free. OpenOffice.org
Finnegan Posted 17 October 2008 Posted 17 October 2008 I use Open Office. On top of being pretty good it's a surprisingly fast download.

Well, it was... dunno if it still is right now... the release of OO3 was so popular their website & server had a spectacular crash. So much so that for a couple of days they didn't have a website as such... just a page with a couple of links and an apology about the shitty appearance and a plea for mo' money.
DB11 Posted 17 October 2008 Posted 17 October 2008 Office 2007 Blue Edition Google it and you'll find out more. Not that I use it or anything

Webbo Posted 17 October 2008 Posted 17 October 2008 I have a really old version of word (word 95 I think ). Would I be better off getting rid of this and using open office?
