Correct, and Adams is more of a winger so practically down to the 2 we have playing.

Also, there's gotta be a handy, young centre forward from one of the Big 4 who we could get in on loan.

Not a bad call. Byfield would certainly give the strikeforce some mobility, which it badly needs.

Fryatt and Dyer had been carrying us in the early parts of the season. Now, one can't score for shit and the other is off-form (but still contributes significantly to the team), so it's time for our centre mids amongst others to step up the plate and pull their weight.

We can't keep relying on Dyer and Fryatt to get the goals for us.

Howard, who knocked it down to him was offside, it looked the right decision but can't be sure.

TV evidence suggested Howard was marginally offside. The linesman took his time to put the flag up, though.

It's not him, our efforts on goal have been looking poor from all over the park. We simply aren't troubling oppo keepers, and if we aren't asking them questions we are not commanding matches.

I think Ric Flair mentioned a couple times that Adams scored most of his goals for Bury as a centre mid/attacking mid.

There have been conflicting reports about whether Adams is any good in midfield. I've not been encouraged but of the situation generally, and including midfield, of course we need competition.

At right-back, in central midfield and up front. Porter, Adams, Dickov and possibly McKay are the only real alternatives so some positions aren't sensibly covered at all, particularly right-back, defensive midfield and target striker. And most think we've no attacking midfield option either.

Basically we're trying to win a battle when we're short of bullets.

I could equal that courageous attempt at an outstanding goal too. Naked.

Of course, I would probably have either gone for a more straightforward shot or laid the ball to someone else to do the same because that would have been the more sensible option.

King chose to showboat and ended up looking more stupid than the phone callers to Radio Leicester: it was a crass decision, an appalling effort and wasted opportunity.

And now we've done the "If it had gone in the net it'd been a goal!" line that just leaves the "He lost his head and kicked it over the bar!"
