The people who wer chating that to Howard why? Just becaue he missed one effot although he hit the target you have to gte on his back don't you! Did you not see his first half display? he won everything brought everything down brought others into play, and was chaseing balls down even of he isn't the quickest player. His first half performance was brill. and his second half display wasn't that bad either he still won most things although he should of scored he didn't and with people chanting that don't youthink his confidence might be a bit shot now?

I man he has'nt scored in the lst few games and has only got 4 so far this season but has had 6 disalowed, if he would of scored yesterday wouldyou have been chanting go bck to derby? NO you wouldn't.

So get off his back and start to get behind him

Yeah,

But imagine Howards confidence when he is getting booed & you can hear, 'Number one Barry Hayles' etc being sung.

Yet Howard has so much more footballing ability than Hayles.

Howard had a great first half yesterday like i said, but yet he missed one chance and people got on his back, people need to get behind him and start sheering him on, like tilley said imagine his confidence when he missed a chance and peope tried to chant that (small section) should get behind him.

Yes i know he didn't play welllast season, but who did? people are looking through rose tinted glasses and are just abuseing him for the sake of it, i know we don't play well or we didn't win lets blame howard!

I feel like taking bodies when I hear the Howard abuse start. The man needs our support, it's blatant he's not going anywhere so why cut your nose off to spite your face?

I feel there's a hat-trick around the corner for Howard and I hope he goes windmilling in L1 straight after the final whistle.

I didn't go last night, but the games before that, I think Howard has been used as a scapegoat & Fryatt makes Howard look poor sometimes.

Howard wins literally everything in the air, but Fryatts positioning isn't the best, therefore the flick ons end up going no where, yet Howard is doing his the job he has been given to perfection.

He gets very little help from referees because of his size & is seen to be fouling alot when he really isn't.

Howard does a very important job for us and he does it well, when Dickov is back in the side and he uses his knowledge and experience to get in the positions to get on the end of the flick ons, I expect Howards ratings to go up on here & the booing to stop.

The fans have set their stool out with Howard now, I can't see a massive turnaround unless he starts scoring left, right and centre.

Spot on, but these people will only change their opionions when howard starts hitting hat-tricks, he is given a set job to do, and he does it well i think.

Like i have said peple need toget behind him, he dosen't get enough help from ref's and if he did get the correct decisons he would be on 10 goals maybe more becuase his confidence would be alot higher than it is, would people still be slateing him? i don't think so

Howard is now the scapegoat for the "fans". I'll admit, I didn't think much of him last season, because I felt he didn't look bothered, but I was prepared to give every player from last season another chance, and Howard now looks much more involved, working harder and being more effective. He's been unlucky with the disallowed goals, and doesn't always get the best of times with the referee.

Sadly, I can't see him ever winning over some supporters.

Right on. :thumbup: Fryatt's reading of the game is very poor. Howard gets on the end of pretty much everything & it's Fryatt's job to pick up or chase those flick on's. Too many times you see Howard winning the header & Fryatt's just mincing around 10 yards away or running in the opposite direction.

This is not to say that Fryatt is a bad player, just not the 'machine' alot of fans think he is.

Certainly where I sit at the top of L1 we are Howards biggest supporters, It's the Koonts in the KOP I Tell ya, why is L1 the excuse for the cahnts we wish to dump? Yes it has it's idiots more than most sections but please it is still a minority. :thumbup:

The last few games i've been in L1, admittedly towards the middle/front and there a lot of Howard haters in there. In fact they hate everything, so perhaps i'm being unfair on them regarding Howard.
