Phube Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 ''The evening before, Leicester had played a match and Nigel Pearson, the manager, had informed his players that if they went to training the next day, the trade-off was that those who arrived early could leave early, too.''Excellent English displayed by one of the Times' journo's. Hard work reading the article. That reads that the players had a choice of going to training or not!?!?
Daggers Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 How bored to DJ and Chambers look on that picture. Boredom is no excuse for taking drugs though kids - try cider and vandalising a bus shelter instead
Guest nathan. Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 My moneys on Gilbert he looks the sort.
Webbo Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 Id say a few of our players are on fcuking drugs!!!! Rohypnol by the looks of it.
Father Ted Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 I believe I know who this is from a VERY reliable source. Don't want to say who but it would be a very large accusation.
act smiley Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 Doesn't really matter though does it? I mean, it doesn't seem like they're genuinely in the wrong. How is it a missed test if the player left before the tester arrived not knowing he was meant to have a drugs test? Its like if one of the lads got injured and went off to hospital during a training session or went home ill, does that count as a missed test? Stupid system. They're not informed before hand so they can't try and hide it if they've been taking anything. Its a slip from Pearson more than anything, to be honest - Personally I don't have any problem with the "day after a match" type of checks in this system, merely that the sheer amount of 'Explain 1hr a day, everyday' is going to result in a LOT of players coming unstuck if they say anything other than "4am - 5am - at home".
Phube Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 So do Ashley Cole and Rooney have to put things like: 6-7pm - Cheating on wife with staggeringly ugly tarts/prozzies?
act smiley Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 Nah, they'll have a gentleman's agreement with the FA for female nurses, probably.

BUT they do it that way as the people that do take illegal substances can work around their appointment, if one is specified, they make sure thye have nothing in their system around the time of the test where as random testing is there to catch those out. so if you do take something then its a lottery whether you get caught or not. its a stupid system though!
