It's nothing spectacular and is waaaaaay too far out of town. None of the locals have embraced it in the way that the club hoped they would. I miss Layer Road.

Brilliant game and the home fans who sit to the left of the away supporters are the funniest fans I've ever seen at a game. They were mocking the Fulham fans for sitting so started singing "stand up if you love Fulham" to help them out.... then celebrated like mad when a few stood up and soon they changed chant to "sit down shut up" and the away fans sat down prompting chants of "you only do what we tell you" I'm forever blowing bubbles - what a song when in full flow with the whole ground joining in. Class!!!

The high ticket prices (even higher than ours! ) might also have something to do with that. But the free buses between the pubs and the ground are a good idea..

It's a quality ground with proper football fans - as I said to Joe, if you do go there, sit in the stand to the left of where the away fans sit and as far right as possible. Some of the chants those guys were starting had me in stitches and "Sit down, shut up" takes on a whole new level when you hear it in pure cockney! It's quite expensive but all premiership grounds are now I guess. Piss easy to get too as well - 2 minutes walk from Upton Park tube station.

C-man Posted 21 January 2009 Posted 21 January 2009 Nearly went Telford on Saturday (good job I checked before leaving) - looks a corker of a non-league stadium. Anyone been? The Bucks Head is a great ground but when I went to see them beat Burton Albion there at the beginning of December in the Setanta Shield it was quiet, only around 900 there in what is a ground that'd fit most league 2 clubs.
