Dan Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 By train I left Carlisle (the promotion game!) at 6pm and didn't get back until 12:15am, now that is a long arse journey. I got barred from the pub before the game too #CAFCCasualsOnTour
One Legged Beaver Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 What's the furthest as anyone travelled to watch a football match? I was in holiday near Madrid a few years ago and flew to Leicester to watch Leicester City vs Real Madrid a few years ago, and then flew back to Madrid the next day
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 What's the furthest as anyone travelled to watch a football match? Probably the KP Failing that i've seen the roo's in South Africa
AndWhat? Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 Greece, the Mrs still thinks it was a coincidence that OFI just happened to be playing their last home game of the season while we were there.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 There's 7 of the Premier League I'm yet to go to and two of them (Sunderland & Fulham) look well in relegation contention which would be a shame. The others are Arsenal, Newcastle, Tottenham, Liverpool & Everton and it's safe to say we'll be going to all five of them next year. That said if they're silly money then it can wait. It's only because we got Chelsea in the cup I've ticked that off. There's no way I'm shelling out the wrong side of fifty notes into Abramovich's back pocket. You'll be waiting till we get Arsenal in the League cup then . It'll easily be £60
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 What's the furthest as anyone travelled to watch a football match? Bit gutted I didn't go to a game in New Zealand now, there'd be no beating me then . As I missed out on Sparta Prague I think probably Roma.
Fox92 Posted 1 April 2014 Posted 1 April 2014 What's the furthest as anyone travelled to watch a football match? Plymouth away. (Think it's a further distance than Sunderland).

CosbehFox Posted 2 April 2014 Posted 2 April 2014 Greece, the Mrs still thinks it was a coincidence that OFI just happened to be playing their last home game of the season while we were there. I tried to see them in September. Hire a car is my only advice. I'm on 128 by the way.
JoeyB Posted 3 April 2014 Posted 3 April 2014 done 53, quite impressed with that: http://www.footballgroundmap.com/1joeyb
Alexikokopops Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Bit gutted I didn't go to a game in New Zealand now, there'd be no beating me then . As I missed out on Sparta Prague I think probably Roma. I've got a couple in Australia Furthest in Europe was to watch Metalist Kharkiv vs. Newcastle in the Europa League last season http://www.footballgroundmap.com/alexikokopops I'm on 63 overall, which is 45 of the current 92. Was meant to make it to Yeovil, Blackpool, and Wigan this season but they all went tits up for one reason or another. Edit: Forgot to add that the Melbourne one is actually the wrong ground but they don't have the right one on there
Dan Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 You'll be waiting till we get Arsenal in the League cup then . It'll easily be £60 Their loss. I won't go and I don't think we'll come close to selling out at that price.
Bert Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 You'll be waiting till we get Arsenal in the League cup then . It'll easily be £60Doubt that very much. For the less desirable teams they lower their prices. A game against West Brom just two seasons back was only £25. I would say £35 tops.
Wycombe Fox Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 I haven't been to many at all. . Filbert Street KP Wembley (old) Highfield Road Goodison Park St. Mary's Roots Hall Withdean AMEX Fratton Park Stamford Bridge Hawthorns Maine Road
Harry - LCFC Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 On about 35 I think. Difficult picking them off being a Leicester fan, always in the top two divisions.
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Done Forest, Leeds, Huddersfield, Peterborough, Bradford and Bradford Park Avenue so far. Oh, and Hinckley in about 2001/2002 - think it was middlefield lane then.
MC Prussian Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 What's the furthest as anyone travelled to watch a football match? Probably a Whitecaps game at their old Swanguard stadium in Burnaby somewhere in 2005/2006. I went to see them play Sunderland in a friendly in the summer of '05. Although technically, it wasn't really "traveling", as I was studying there at the time. Other than that, during my holidays I went to see the MLS Cup final in 2008 at the Home Depot Centre in LA, contested between Columbus and the NY Red Bulls.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 What's the furthest as anyone travelled to watch a football match? Newcastle away, sadly. I decided not to ditch my friends when I had a chance to see Elgin City play and when I've been to Montreal the football season hasn't been on.
C-man Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 55 of the current 92. 32 abroad including 15 in Germany. Italy the only major country I'm yet to see a game in.
MC Prussian Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I've got 32 of the current 92. Plus Hereford & Hinckley and 13 others in Europe & North America.
AndWhat? Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 55 of the current 92. 32 abroad including 15 in Germany. Italy the only major country I'm yet to see a game in. Get your map out for the lads. I wanna see where you've been!

David Guiza Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Thought I'd bump this after seeing something similar mention in another thread. I'm now up to 85, going as far down as Stockport County and including teams who have had more than one ground (Rotherham at 3). Only the Emirates and White Hart Lane I've not been to this season, shame Brentford couldn't have came up a season earlier!
