Currently in the process now of speaking to Business Advisors about going freelance as a photographer. Still a long way to go yet, plus need funding from somewhere too. It's started though, that's the main thing. I've been booked for a wedding next Valentines Day too at a waterfall in Wales. Things slowly taking shape. :D

Yeah good luck mate :)

Went to look at the old libray today with some people from Citizens Eye. They are turning it into a photo ballery. Some fantastic pictures there. It is due to ope around the 15th Sept. If any of you want to have work displayed the gallery is open to all. Just get in touch with the photographers section.

They usually meet in the Shires in a place I think is called Cordon Bleu but I was walking along Granby Street and someone came russing out of Coffee Republic and said the place had gone bust.

It will be worth a visit when the Gallery opens. It is thought it could be one of the biggest displays in the country. Still putting photos up today. There was a great one of a bridge which gave a 3D effect. So wierd. Another had someone (told it was Princess Anne) standing behind an horses head. Very realistic image of her.

Anyway for anyone into photography and wanting publicity for their work this is your chance.

Kona Blue? That's barely been open that long so quite a shame if so. Though I guess there are enough coffee shops around these days.

Yeah lucky I was seen I would have gone there and think they were avoiding me. I did hear the menu was a bit static. There are couple other coffee bars near. Still their loss. There were 8 or 9 of us in the Coffee Republic think all had coffee and they get a mention as the meeting venue.

I dont really want to go back to work but cant live off the state forever. Got a bus pass today giving me half price travel. Can go further a feild to research beer look for a job. Applied for another cleaner job online. May apply for another job in the morning. Its for an assistant at a chip shop. Pauls Chip Shop. Think its Green Lane Road . Walkable but never been in. 16-30 hours varied hours. Never done that sort of work but I'm ok with figures and dont mind learning. Plus I have a SIA badge so I can double as security and keep an eye on their CCTV. :frusty:

Mikey, take a look at the exhibition when it opens. The organizers may be able to put you in contact with people you need. It will be well publicised i should think. Local radio.paper and possibly TV.

Found some old photos earler. B/W ones from when I used to do developing and use the old type roll films. Found a couple from when they were taking the old West Bridge down and of a girder in mid air. Sure I had more. May be in an albumn somewhere.

Not sure how to scan them to get them on my PC or another format.

Just voted again.

Yes that's the place. That acrobat one is good too. To capture tem in different positions and in focus takes some doing.

I just hope they get the visitors through the doors. A lot of work has gone into it. Glad to have had a sneak preview before opening.

I've just started a photo blog (only one trip on there so far!) with which I intend to document my photographic 'journey' (to use a hip phrase). The one featured trip on there so far is my holiday to Islay, a great place to have a camera as well as to drink single malt! I thought these shots may be of interest to you photo types - any comments or criticisms welcomed.

Some good photos there. Have you visited the new Photographic gallery yet on Granby Street? it's open to anyone to display their own work. I believe they also have a club now. They are on Facebook anyway.

Keep them coming.

Thanks :) I would visit, but I live in Lancaster presently and without employment I'm struggling for tins of beans, let alone train fare! A pity really, as I've heard lots about it and it sounds like a great initiative.

I was with some people from Citizens Eye last Tuesday and one of them was talking about the opening. He said he saw Sven there. Had a chat with him and said he seemed a decent bloke.

Thought it was Leicester under your avatar. Must use reading glasses for screen reading.
