I wonder how much difference their equipment makes though, they're certainly not taken with a Kodak Brownie.

Yeah definitely. Some of the stuff these photographers are using will be top of the range equipment costing thousands of pounds. I mean, my camera was £700 and i'm buying a new lense next week for £160 too. Pocket change when you see some of the prices for things though.

I bought a Vivtar Vivcam 7024 from Argos for around £20 from Argos. Had to pay extra for MC and batteries though.

Small problem with it atm. Some of the pictures have gone and the display is showing f'ile error' Still works and takes a decent photo though. Wondering if the error is due to the card. Forgot to fornmat it when I put it in. Will have to put the pics on my PC and start anew.

How do I upload a picture from my Desktop to here?

Upload it to photobucket, once uploaded, use the bottom code when you hover over the uploaded photo in your album and then paste it into here. :)

Thanks Mikey T.

Not as good as most of the pics on here, but one of the most important people in my life.

My Grandson, taken today, at my house on a Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile phone.

Took these this morning at Bradgate Park with my new Canon EF 55-250mm lense. Very pleased with how they turned out. :) Third one down is probably my favourite of the morning.

Do you actually have a copyright Mikey or have you just put it on?

All you need to do is put the copyright symbol on it and be able to prove that you were first. I imagine a dated forum entry is a pretty good proof of that.

I'm fairly sure that's how it works - I stand to be corrected.

Ah ok, I was just asking because i know they take a while to come through if you do them properly, and if someone did nick a photo which you took then you could legally sue their asses, which would make for an interesting topic on general chat.

Yes very good pics. I will have to put © Copyright after my work neverthought of doing it before. If not using a word program you have to go through about four menus to find it.

How can anyone call photography boring with pictures like Mikeys and this one? Would they be willing to travel to the North pole and wait for the exact moment to take the photo?

I've never paid photography any attention as I've never had a good enough camera to go out there and take a snap. However, literally looking through a couple of pages in this thread has made me want to look into it and get out there and find some of my own. Quite inspiring if I'm honest.

MikeyT - some quality pictures there pal.
