Simi Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 Part timers blah blah. United away would be quality. Why?
Samilktray Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 Part timers blah blah. United away would be quality. I'd still take Spurs away over that though. Or Pompey actually, that'd be quality.
RowlattsFox Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 Cardiff away, last trip to Ninian Park. Just noticed Notts County are playing tomorrow, if they win I wouldn't mind going there.

Disagree. United would play a second string. I really would cringe at United away, It'd mean fu ck all to them, the atmsphere would be dog and I doubt they'd play that many big names. It'd be part-timers galore.Compare that to if they came here, 5k of them K,J and the family stand would be rammed up next to them. Prety sure the Kop would find their voices aswell. Another Villa or Tottenham night at the walkers would be magical and possibly give me a bit more hope in our plastic legoset.
Tevez Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 If Leicester get Man Utd at Old Trafford and your going to cringe, don't go??
Maybes Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 If Leicester get Man Utd at Old Trafford and your going to cringe, don't go?? Im not saying I wouldn't go. I just dont think it would be 'quality'.
Tevez Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 Im not saying I wouldn't go. I just dont think it would be 'quality'. How come?
James. Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 Why? Because me and my air horn have never been to Old Trafford before.
Simi Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 Because me and my air horn have never been to Old Trafford before. Go on a tour mate, will probably be cheaper.
James. Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 Go on a tour mate, will probably be cheaper. If I wanted to see the changing rooms and trophy cabinet then I would. But I don't. I want to watch football. And anyway money isn't the issue. In all seriousness I have lots of reasons why I'd like it be United away. I'm going to list them as to be honest they're pretty obvious.
Head Honcho Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 Cardiff away, last trip to Ninian Park.Just noticed Notts County are playing tomorrow, if they win I wouldn't mind going there. I was at Ninian Park on tuesday, fvck me what a dump! I haven't been in the bob bank for about 10 years and it was grim! Can't believe how well the new stadium is coming on though.
Maybes Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 How come? With united (most likely) to be playing a weakened/second string, doesnt exactly tickle my fancy. Plus ive already been old trafford and fancy spurs away.
dandannieldanok Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 I'd love any of the big four away, although we've already done Chelsea last season and I'm not sure that can be topped if we were to draw them again. I wouldn't mind Spurs or Everton away either.

I have lots why I don't want it to be United away, again they are pretty obvious. I guess we'll agree to disagree.
The Stig Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 United away. If Leicester get Man Utd at Old Trafford and your going to cringe, don't go?? I'm with you 100% on this, I'd love United away. For me United are a special club, it's a special stadium, and all my family (on my Dad's side) are United fans so I'd love it. I went to Man U V Coventry last year and would have killed to have been standing supporting Leicester in the away end.
Tommeh Posted 29 November 2008 Author Posted 29 November 2008 if its away I'm just hoping for a proper day out preferbly by train. don't get me wrong I'd still go united and probably have a reasonable day but I just think fox travel would have a field day and our turnout wouldn't exactly create a Chelsea/forest esc. atmosphere. Any London away would be sick bar possibly Qpr with their prices. Not mentioned Derby away either, willing that one in aswell. I'm just really looking forward to the draw I remember us getting forest last season had a few mates over and the house exploded when the draw was made. Fa cup 3rd round is the greatest week in the football season for me, just hoping we get a good tie. Norwich at home it is then.
BoneHead. Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 United or Liverpool away would be one of the worst ties I can think of. We'd take 10,000 part-timers each with their own air-horn.Same applies to Arsenal and Chelsea tbh, but the fact their in London saves them. Spurs away would be great, Goodison also two proper football grounds which sadly won't be here in 3 years time. Alrite then. <_<

I'd put a tenner on a draw like that. <_< Bloody Blackpool at home or someone.

Not much chance of that happening with all the fair weather fans turning up at Old Trafford. FLASK ARMY!!
Tommeh Posted 29 November 2008 Author Posted 29 November 2008 Alrite then. <_< lol Leave it out mr. Big Cup tie Your exactly the daytripper I'm referring to.
BoneHead. Posted 29 November 2008 Posted 29 November 2008 lolLeave it out mr. Big Cup tie Your exactly the daytripper I'm referring to. Holding down a Saturday job is more important to me then getting cold in Cheltenham on a Saturday afternoon. Sorry to upset you son. Come on Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or United away...Might take the day off for one of them.
