Think Ronaldo has been a little harshly done by there. Not sure about it though.

Deserved to be sent off for clapping at the ref anyway.

On a yellow, uses both his hands to make contact with the ball, definately a red card, should use his head?

& as you say, should have been off for being a nob & clapping at the referee.

Well done ref we can't have players fracturing the ball can we?

Perhaps he actually thought he heard a whistle beforehand? I see no reason why he'd stop, he was ready to head it clean in.

When they did the replay, I didn't hear a whistle until after he'd handballed it.

Unless there was a whistle-like noise coming from the crowd?

Even so, as Alan Smith has just said, put the ball in the net & ask questions later.

I'm glad Ronaldo got sent off, should teach him a lesson. Rooney's goal was a lucky and also easy one - poor defending by ManCity, four or five of their players fumbling the ball around, not being able to get a hold of it and kicking it out of the box. All in all, City looked disappointing today. No real effort to crack that ManU defense open. Lacklustre from start to finish, with the exception of SWP, Robinho, Dunne and Hart. Garrido was very poor.
