Babylon Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 Afraid i have to reply. Having no parents around means we have no automatic babysitters like alot of people have hence we stick together as a family. Didnt think you would want me to lie about that important matter buts seems you would prefer me to let people think we could have left our baby with its grandparents which is not possible.Second item about Nandos well that to me is pretty harsh, i would love to see what you would say or do if you turned up for the next game to be, for example, told your not coming in ever again or if you ordered some food and it was cold and you got told tough, or if your elderly parent came and was made to climb 50 steps, you know something really bad like those examples i would love to see what you would do. Just accept it?? I think not my friend. I normally sit on the corner under the fusions restaurant or in the family stand right by the restaurant as they are the places with the least people and far enough away from the away fans to be in complete safety. I dont mind swearing in front of my lad people can swear all they like, what i dont like is behaviour that would scare him, agressive behaviour but a simple bout of swearing at the ref or the like is no problem to me at all. Point proved about over the top replies. I think you should stop while you're ahead before you alienate yourself any more from people originally on your side.
scully91 Posted 10 December 2008 Author Posted 10 December 2008 I wont alienate anyone who previously agreed with me because they have agreed with me and thats their decision, then comes along the internet nurds who just like haing a go at people who live miles away that they will never meet. The original and proper posters have said their piece and moved on, i foolishly am still replying to about 3 idiots but then again if there are only 3 idiots on this forum that pretty good going. From the top i stand there with a valid point, those kind people who want to help did just that they helped or gave their opinion and left then the sad twats came along and thought this guy is being spoken to too nicely so i will wind him up or take a bit of his glory away, im gonna start making things up and call him names and be generally not nice and then that makes a few of you look good while taking the shine off of me. If any of my family EVER turned out like some of you i would be totally ashamed. You have chosen to dissect my messages and twist it around to try and make you look good. Any fool can see i have said i dont mind swearing and in another post i have said what is allowed at the club and not allowed. Then somebody says im a mongy parent when i have clearly stated i dont mind swearing in front of my lad but i dont like aggressive behaviour toward him. The posters that are getting silly are clearly people who see football as a place to kick off and let off steam as you say. Maybe you should take up boxing or race cars like i do instead of shouting at people at a football game and ganging up with your mates to kick someones head in. Thats your way of lettng off steam so carry on but you cant really be that bad or you would be banned from the ground so maybe you just like shouting nasty things at people when they cant do anything to you, a bit like on this forum perhaps? A few have taken this too far. Again i would like that thank all those who agreed and disagreed with me but i see absolutely no point in carrying on the thread when a few chickens have just joined in to cause trouble. You know im not a mongy parent, im one who cares for them and others, i dont upset other peoples games, i swear more than anyone. Enough has been said now and i will leave a few saddos to think they have won, but there are no winners only selfish losers.
fox123 Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 I'd just like to say that I remember about 13 years ago my Aunty went into Bruciannis (SP?) with her baby. At the time there were no changing facilities in the toilets. She then went onto complain that this was the case and the inconvenience it caused. A month later they replied, and had gone on to fit the changing facilities in their shops, it does sometimes pay to complain.

Mate I'd already clicked reply before you made your post about swearing being ok infront of your lad as long as blah blah blah so didn't see it. Seeing as your previous post said, "Chanting is allowed, singing is allowed, as loud as you like, even having a `respectable` dig at the other team through song is ok. What is not ok is swearing, racist chants, telling someone your going to shag their mum or something, throwing of objects, and fighting so it looks like we can work out the type of guy your friend is !!, it was pretty safe to assume you didn't think swearing in football ground was ok, no? I haven't "twisted that round", that's what you said. I don't think you know what your argument is. You grouped swearing in with racist chanting and fighting. Then said actually it's fine to swear infront of your kid and you do it yourself at the football. Then you start accussing me of being the type of person that likes," shouting at people at a football game and ganging up with your mates to kick someones head", because I made a post in support of peoples' right to swear in a football ground outside of the family stand. And I didn't call you a mongy parent. I said that the fact you said swearing was not ok at a football match made you sound like some of the mongy parents we get down the walkers who take their children in normal areas and then complain about swearing. This, however, "If any of my family EVER turned out like some of you i would be totally ashamed" is an absolutely idiotic thing to say to someone you've never met.
DB11 Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 but a simple bout of swearing at the ref Shut up!
Hullfox Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 if there are only 3 idiots on this forum that pretty good going. I think there are 4 of us now.
Webbo Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 I would like to say one thing that whether you have agreed or not the chat and replies have generally been sensible, of course there have been one or two absolute knobheads but internet forums are usually full of them but `most` of you guys have been really sensible and should be proud of yourselves for your ensible responses and well, the others, you know who you are. I'm thoroughly ashamed of myself.
Guest Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 Im sorry to say this but it looks like the sensible replies have ended and im just left with the trolls. Thatnks for all your replies and offeres of help. Greatly appreciated but i think enough is enough now and leave the wierdos to it. Feel free to pm if anyone has any offers of help. Thanks very much to some of you. By "sensible replies", do you mean "people who agree with your point of view"?
Ultra Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 It's been noted how the local tabloid hasn't dared to touch this story. Are they scared of how the club might react?
Sir Fynwy Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 It's been noted how the local tabloid hasn't dared to touch this story. Are they scared of how the club might react? Or do they think it's a non-story dreamt up by a full time complainer?
Babylon Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 By "sensible replies", do you mean "people who agree with your point of view"? Exactly what I was just about to put.... So how many of us are in the internet nurd group now, 5 or 6?
Babylon Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 Or do they think it's a non-story... To be fair that usually doesn't stop the Mercury!!! Maybe if his name was Keith Vaz the story would have made it in! They're the only stories they seem to run now days.
Alexikokopops Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 Personally I wouldn't take an under two to a match anyway. However whatever your view on teh matter it's bloody ridiculous that the club publicise this in no way, resulting in the incident in this thread.
JadeFalcon Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 this made the bbc news website the other day, and sorry to be honest but who in their right mind takes a 5 week old to a football match ? especially with the weather we have now ? you should be lucky social services are not banging on your door -=edit=- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/leicest...ire/7772808.stm
Jon the Hat Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 Some poeple just cannot help getting their knickers in a twist about everything. If you want to take a young baby to places which might not allow them then ring in advance. You are not going to convince the likes of Leciester City that they should take risks with their insurance, licences etc and reputation becuase you cannot organise a babysitter. You seem to be able to fund the cost of tickets and petrol so babysitters should not be a problem. If you don't want to use babysitters then go places you can take babies. It really isn't that difficult to get your head round is it? That Nando's example on the other hand is really crap. What a bunch of twits.

Most food outlets have similar a similar policy on warming up milk for babies. It's in case the milk is heated too much and burns the infant. A bit of a silly rule, but understandable. It only takes one parent to cry about their baby being harmed and the company has a lawsuit on its hands.

Babylon Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 Bottle warmers are not expensive. Neithers getting your tits out and shoving it in the babies mouth....
Jon the Hat Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 Neithers getting your tits out and shoving it in the babies mouth.... In my case however that would not be very effective.
maddog Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 Its made todays Merc too. (Thursdays Merc) Page 21 What a story! From Foxestalk thread to news on the bbc and in the merc
Ultra Posted 13 December 2008 Posted 13 December 2008 Or do they think it's a non-story dreamt up by a full time complainer? If they did, they'd have printed it straight away! How else do most papers fill up their "news" pages?
