Fox You Forest Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Here's what other referees thought of it : http://refereeforum.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=48000817 Who wrote this. I think that is something Dan Foster would give to be honest!
Jordan Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Ridiculous... Right up there with Bikey's red card for pushing a medic.
DB11 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Who wrote this. You didn't include the Anyway it's my referee mate
Kilworthfox Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Stiff to be red carded for that Horrendous comments from referees or people interested in refereeing! Obviously not a Sending off!!!! If a player intentionally trips an opponent it is only a red if he has a goal; scoring opportunity or has intent to injure. Neither apply in this instance! What mentality do these people have? Are all referees thinking like Mike Riley? I would rather a child ref than him!
Father Ted Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 It's not even as if it was a two-footed lunge, it was just a trip!
Babylon Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 What an absolute bunch of c****. Just goes to show referees are a bunch of jobs worths, the way they go on you'd think they were employed by health and bloody safety. If he'd done that during the game to a player it would only have been a yellow, half of those idiots would be fine with letting a nutter run on the pitch and stab someone. As long as the rulebook is followed while it happens.
DB11 Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Babylon are your comments referring to the link I posted? The referees there are not supportive of the decision to dismiss at all!
Darkzzz_ Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Very laughable. The comments in that Referee's forum were even worse. How on earth was that a sending off? Respect my arse, I urge all players to DDT/Suplex referees, I want to some some classic WWF creeping into the game!
dandannieldanok Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 That's ludicrous and quite funny at the same time, although if you're looking for the most ridiculous red card of all time then you can't look past Paddy Kisnorbo who has two contenders from last season.
Fox You Forest Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Babylon are your comments referring to the link I posted? The referees there are not supportive of the decision to dismiss at all! I only read a few but most seem to be saying it was worthy of a yellow and a few say it was a red and spouting rules about violence to players fans etc.
Babylon Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Babylon are your comments referring to the link I posted? The referees there are not supportive of the decision to dismiss at all! Seemed like 50/50 to me.... i'll admit i wasn't taking note of the names of people so it could have been the same ones over and over again. Even still... two people actually sticking up for the ref is two people too many.
James. Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Anyone who uses the phrase "technically correct" in reference to that indicent should be hung, drawn and quartered.
DB11 Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Well the worst person there is some complete dickwod. He says that he penalises goalkeepers for bouncing the ball and all sorts He says once he ripped his ref top off and chased a player who said he was gonna knock him out. HE is one of the people that give referees a bad name
Lillehamring Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 That's ludicrous and quite funny at the same time, although if you're looking for the most ridiculous red card of all time then you can't look past Paddy Kisnorbo who has two contenders from last season. not forgetting gary parker's in the uefa <_< ...i think i might sign up for that ref's forum, a bet it's a right laugh
Benji Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 That's just citizen's arrest surely if encroaching the field is a criminal offence?
