NFFC Chris Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Yeah i'm a real Brian Clough, except i'm not a alkay and not 6 feet under ... Epic fail at trying to cause anger and outrage mate.Nice to see a Nottingham man in Nigel Pearson doing well in management for your lot
Fosse Boy Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Yeah i'm a real Brian Clough, except i'm not a alkay ...I edited for fears of a ban. I still stand by what i said. Still harsh. He was by all accounts the greatest English football manager of all time. Got the 'Provided You Don't Kiss Me: Twenty years with Brian Clough' book for Christmas. It's proving a cracking read.
Corky Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Epic fail at trying to cause anger and outrage mate.Nice to see a Nottingham man in Nigel Pearson doing well in management for your lot Doesn't matter where he comes from as long as he does well for us, which he's doing

Just think next year normal service can be restore when you and Leeds play each other and talk about how famous you both are. 44 days wasn't it ?

teblin Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Not sure about howard leaving, but oakley was almost in tears at a press conference the day davies was sacked to pick up an award for him. wouldn't be suprised to see oakley leave. Hope not though, want to keep this side together and progress as a unit.

To take a comparatively small club like Forest to European glory is one hell of an achievement. Just wish he'd have done it with another club.
joely22 Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Oakley and Davies are very close, it's well known in Derby that Oakley was close to tears when Davies left. Wouldn't be surprised. Where you get that info from Ched?! Forest are welcome to him. He may get them out of the shit they're in at the moment but in the end he'll fook them over. Always looking after No.1 is Billy.
Ultra Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Agreed. To take a comparatively small club like Forest to European glory is one hell of an achievement. Just wish he'd have done it with another club. Indeed. One wonders just how much Clough could have won if he'd been manager at a proper football club..
Ultra Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Nice to see a Nottingham man in Nigel Pearson doing well in management for your lot Yes, once again it's a magpie who redeems the image of that city.
MC Prussian Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 Indeed. One wonders just how much Clough could have won if he'd been manager at a proper football club.. He would've probably failed due to insurmountable differences with the club management. That's my theory, though.
ASH17LCFC Posted 4 January 2009 Posted 4 January 2009 Indeed. One wonders just how much Clough could have won if he'd been manager at a proper football club.. What like the mighty Leeds ?
