Leicester Lass Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/New...1504698,00.html Official Statement Wed 31 Dec 2008 Nottingham Forest have today confirmed that they have entered into negotiations with Billy Davies as their preferred candidate to take over as manager. The club will not make any further comment at this stage.
DB11 Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Ha Bit like Smegson from Forest to us? Wonder if there fans will not like him at first
Jay Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 The Trees and the fans have always seemed to me to be one of those sides that pride themselves on always playing good attacking football on the ground even when in trouble not sure they are going to get along with the famous 1-9-1 formation of Billy Davies
Darkzzz_ Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Good luck to the chap. He is desperate for a job after all. In this current climate, even I would take the Forest job.
Ultra Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 As long as he doesn't try to take Howard or Oakley (or anyone else) off us, I don't give a flying one.
Libertine Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 As long as he doesn't try to take Howard or Oakley (or anyone else) off us, I don't give a flying one. Well, seeing as he was the one who sold them two, I can't see it. This sucks, as I now have to dislike him.
Simi Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Well, seeing as he was the one who sold them two, I can't see it.This sucks, as I now have to dislike him. He didn't sell them.
Corky Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Well, seeing as he was the one who sold them two, I can't see it.This sucks, as I now have to dislike him. Paul Jewell sold them. Davies left in November.
Simi Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Oakley and Davies are very close, it's well known in Derby that Oakley was close to tears when Davies left. Wouldn't be surprised.
Ultra Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Oakley also has a business in Nottingham. I wouldn't be surprised if Davies put a bid in for him.
Libertine Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 D'oh, silly me. I wouldn't worry about it though.
Koke Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Oakley lives in Nottingham. Anyway, good on Forest. He'll keep them up, and they'll have the honor of witnessing a 1-9-1 formation and countless of boring one-nil wins. If that got Derby promoted, it'll do wonder for Forest.
Vardinhio Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 haha, Charlton are going down. Not even going for the new manager vibe to save you. See you next year. Oh wait, no you wont! hahaha
davieG Posted 1 January 2009 Author Posted 1 January 2009 haha, Charlton are going down. Not even going for the new manager vibe to save you.See you next year. Oh wait, no you wont! hahaha Their 'new' manager Parkinson has just over seen an 8 match with out a win sequence.
Corky Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Their 'new' manager Parkinson has just over seen an 8 match with out a win sequence. Didn't Charlton say that we were the benchmark back in the late 90's/early Millennium, and they would try to follow our "model"? Well it seems as though they are
Lamby Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 haha, Charlton are going down. Not even going for the new manager vibe to save you.See you next year. Oh wait, no you wont! hahaha We need 10 wins out of our next 20 games to realisticly avoid going down. At least we can win League 1 and that Paint Trophy Didn't Charlton say that we were the benchmark back in the late 90's/early Millennium, and they would try to follow our "model"?Well it seems as though they are
Darkzzz_ Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I actually like Charlton. I really hope they pull it round and manage to stay up, although that looks very difficult.
JoeyB Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Reckon Oakly and Howard could join? He took em both to Derby when he was their........
Tilley Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Oakley has just found his best form since he has been here, has been handed the captaincy & is starting to be appreciated by the fans. With the current situations of both clubs, he would be a fool to leave.
