Ultra Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 King's game has improved massively since Oakley was moved to the right. Three winning goals in recent weeks, plus an equaliser at Carlisle, is a sign of how influential he's now become. He's definitely repaying the patience and faith that Pearson has shown in him.
JoeyB Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Can some one compare him to Delph who is apparently worth 10M :: Manchester United have offered Leeds £10m for midfielder Fabian Delph. (The Sun)
Wezleylowski Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Can some one compare him to Delph who is apparently worth 10M :: That's a joke. Delph= Games: 21 Goals: 5 Assists:3 King= Games: 23 Goals: 7 Assists: 3 They are both 19 and have both had similar seasons so far, but I bet we couldn't get thrupence for King. Bollox

Daggers Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Delph= Games: 21 Goals: 5 Assists:3 In a team which hasn't supported him very well. I'd have Delph here in a shot, I reckon he has far more potential than King (and I love King) but Andy simply isn't going to make Premier League. Delph will.

Delph will. In fairness King's hardly been given a free role, although he does look freer recently.
Alexikokopops Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Oh my bad. Obviously in less than two months he has gone from average to world beater in some peoples eyes. Repeat fickle bunch of ****ers some Leicester fans are. To be fair he has improved a lot since he's had a defensive kind of midfielder alongside him.
Daggers Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 In fairness King's hardly been given a free role, although he does look freer recently. I'm not knocking him, I just reckon Delph is better.
Flynny Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Probably. I wouldn't knock his chances of Premiership play just yet though. He could get a good deal better yet, and its quite often fairly unflashy players who make the step up best of all.

He could get a good deal better yet, and its quite often fairly unflashy players who make the step up best of all. Indeed. Look at how King's progressed in the last month or so. If this continues, it's quite possible he could go on to full international honours, as well as the Premier League.
Thracian Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Ummmm. On reflection he should probably leave now while he's in a run of good form instead of risking another bad game and getting hammered, replaced, or made to train with the kids.
The Phantom Posted 3 January 2009 Posted 3 January 2009 I think our Midfield has been great this season, and it's been a long, long time since I have thought that. Goals coming in from midfield has no doubt helped us where we are now. Andy King must be full of confidence and, it will be interesting how he fares in the Championship should we get promoted (keeping my feet firmly on the ground), but Midfield is an area that should take priority in the summer in my opinion.
moseeds Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 If King was playing for another team and delph for us I reckon we'd be saying how King is destined for the premiership whereas Delph isnt!
