RedHux Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 Works for me. They have to really go for it again now at Old Trafford. Three days before we play them in the cup. Had Manure thrashed them tonight they could've gone easy in the second leg. Can't see them holding a 1-0 in Manchester though, even against a team peppered with young 'uns.
ASH17LCFC Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 From the person with the Man City avatar and sig Yeah for a joke but i don't go round saying i would love Derby to win the cup and we're all good mates.
Fosse Boy Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 I'm telling you, it's all about dreaming of a Man U v Burnley final, which Burnley win! We're all happy, neither top flight team wins, and neither do Derby! Simple!
Finchy Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Nigel Clough is a fantastic appointment I don't understand how anyone can say this? How is he a fantastic appointment? He's been managing Burton Albion for 10 years, won 1 promotion with them to the conference and that's it. I genuinely can't believe Derby have appointed a manager purely based on the fact his dad was Brian Clough, if you forget about who his dad was and think, Derby have basically appointed an average conference manager to keep them up in the championship. Brian Clough was a one off, his personality was unique and Nigel is nothing like him! Also Brian had Peter Taylor with him. Feel sorry for Nigel, the amount of pressure that's gonna be on him because of who is dad was is ridiculous.

One thing's for certain, this job will make or break his managerial career and sadly for him I fear it may be the latter.

Yeah we'll see what happens and i might be proven completely wrong, I wouldn't mind him doing well, but at this point to say it's a fantastic appointment seems ridiculous to me. I'm really thinking Derby are gonna go down now though, Forest on the other hand, i think that is a smart appointment.

Tilley Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Great performance, great srike, great result. Man Utd will hammer them at Old Trafford unfortunately.
Webbo Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 I despise ManUre far more than Derby but I'd hate to see Derby get to Wembley. Luckily they'll get hammered at Old Trafford. Nice to see our old player David Lowe getting some credit for last nights result.
lildave3 Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 2nd leg time then, and i've already pissed myself laughing at these Derby fans.
Maybes Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 2nd leg time then, and i've already pissed myself laughing at these Derby fans. What they doing?
Joe. Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 From BBC: Alex Ferguson on tonight's game: "We're treating it as a semi-final second leg. We want to get to Wembley, it's that simple. The first leg was disappointing, so tonight on our own ground, we expect to do the basics better. This team was always going to play." Words of great wisdom there from Sir Alex. And I liked this: Sheepshagger: "Just arrived at OT, should be called OTT the number of Muppets taking photos of it. Freezing my centre-forwards off waiting for my brother on a bus from Derby. Get a move on brethren! I can't take these tourists or the cold much longer!"
lildave3 Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 What they doing? Just talking about how they deserve to be in the final, and that the first leg should finished 3 or 4. Also said it's destiny because Cloughie is back.
Simi Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Derby fans? Cloughie? Forest fan. 12k? Calling United fans tourists?
DB11 Posted 20 January 2009 Author Posted 20 January 2009 "It's going really well for Derby; it's been a quarter of an hour and United haven't scored" That made me laugh
Joe. Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Yesss 1-0 Nani. Great strike. Keeper maybe should have saved it though.
