Uncle Albert Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 What's offensive about that? People will complain about anything these days wont they Ben? Embankment and now this, whats the world coming to?
Uncle Albert Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 And here it is The wise old Badger was my favourite.
Alexikokopops Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 The wise old Badger was my favourite. The rabbits were fucking annoying. They were the first to drop out if I recall correctly when they chicken out and hid in some pipes in a building site. WAIT. The newts. They hopped in the first swimming pool the animals stumbled across. Stick it out you fannies!
Corky Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 Ah, the Animals of Farthing Wood. What a programme.
The Stig Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 The whole pathetic incident is documented in this article. RADIO 1 bosses have refused to apologise for DJ Chris Moyles’s “joke” about the Auschwitz Nazi death camp.Moyles, 34, offended Jews and other listeners with his crass on-air gag. His thoughtless outburst came when he said on his breakfast show that he had gone to film in Ireland as part of research into his family history for the BBC1 series Who Do You Think You Are?. He said: “Unlike a lot of the Who Do You Think You Are? shows I didn’t go to Auschwitz. Pretty much everybody goes there, whether or not they’re Jewish. “They always kind of end up there, you know, if they just pass through on their way to Florida or something.” Auschwitz-Birkenau, in Poland, was the largest Nazi concentration camp. More than a million people died there, around 90% of them Jews. Mark Gardner, of the Com-munity Security Trust, which aims to protect the Jewish community, called Moyles’s on-air comments “arrogant, stupid and insensitive”. Lord Greville Janner, 80, chairman of the Holocaust Educational Trust, said they were “juvenile and regrettable”. Yesterday a Radio 1 spokes-man said: “We are not currently commenting any further.” The Daily Star put forward a serious offer to Radio 1 and Moyles to provide him with an all-expenses paid trip to the Auschwitz museum so he could fully understand the outrage caused by his “joke”. But unconcerned Radio 1 bosses ignored our offer. The distress caused came days before national Holocaust Memorial Day takes place in Coventry on Sunday. Yesterday Gordon Brown, 57, wrote in a book of remembrance for the victims of the Holocaust: “The whole world should remember and never forget – remember the courageous men and women and also remember the evil that was done.” I love Chris Moyles. Not afraid to state his opinion, make a contreversial comment and push the boundaries. Top Radio, great entertainment. This however isn't even a contreversial comment. He doesn't go out to offend people, he didn't make this comment to disrespect people who's relatives have died, it was simply an observation that a lot of people featured on the programme have been there. He is unique, no other DJ is like him, no other show is like his, it's totally different. No one else in Radio discusses what he does with his listners, no one makes them feel more involved with the show and the teams lives. This is why The Chris Moyles Show is such legendary Radio. His show isn't for people who can't take a joke, if you don't like it, don't listen, but don't bore us with your moans.
poynton blue Posted 23 January 2009 Author Posted 23 January 2009 Why are you complaining then if you didnt hear it? Are you one of these people who has heard about comments off a mate and you think you can jump on the bandwagon? Bet you complained about Ross/Brand didnt you? Even though you didnt hear it. Some people. Im not complaining about anything!! I said in the original post that I dont care what he said Just a good excuse to get the fat untalented overpaid fat twat suspended or even better the sack bet I didnt complain about Ross/Brand...the difference is they have talent. Yes then.
Kilworthfox Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 People will complain about anything these days wont they Ben? Embankment and now this, whats the world coming to? When people don't have the same view as you it is not neserceraly a complaint. I can't stand the phat phucker, if you wish to listen to what I deem to be schite then that's your business. However I don't see how you can type that people are x or y if they don't agree with what you believe is light entertainment.
Alexikokopops Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 Ah, the Animals of Farthing Wood. What a programme. My workmate just commented that the theme tune sounds like a small facist country's national anthem. I'm marching around just thinking of it now.

Moyles on the other hand is a cnut Without making an obvious unfunny insult about his size, can you explain to us Why he is a cnut? Why he is untalented? Lets hear the back up to these opinions. I present a Radio show, you think it's easy, it isn't. Moyles is also paid £630 000 a year, Ross earns £5 Million.
poynton blue Posted 23 January 2009 Author Posted 23 January 2009 Get a fecking life. what my life would be improved if i liked Moyles..............ho ho

Yes then. playdays can get fvcked, it was certainly no playschool! anyway, it was a joke about the people the bbc pick to do the 'who do you think you are?' rather than the holocaust it's self. is the daily mail behind this perchance?

Alexikokopops Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 Today has been a day dedicated to childhood. And thats why I have found this - this was my childhood. Yes then. TPH told me I looked like the Whybird. willy puller
LeeCovFox Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 I don't really see anything in Moyles' comments that is offensive. Having said that, why the hero-worship for the man? He is about as funny as AIDS.
Corky Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 I can see why Moyles gets people's backs up, I can also see why he is funny to others. He's most definitely "Marmite".
Alexikokopops Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 I don't really see anything in Moyles' comments that is offensive. Having said that, why the hero-worship for the man? He is about as funny as AIDS. I'm going to take a step back from keeping two separate threads going in one and say this is the point of view I agree with. Although, ironically, I find the term "funny as AIDS" as funny as, well, AIDS
JoeyB Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 did he actually say anything against the holocaust? or was is more aimed at the bbc for believing that the only interesting family history is one that involves slavery or nazi germany? Chris moyles is god. It was more aimed at the BBC. Chris Moyles is on everytime i go to college in the morning, and i can never stop laughing. Lorry driver song was immense.
stez Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 Actually more the Daily Star and Sun this time but similar shite take it they've seen the amount of mentions the mail got and gone down the old 'any publicity is good publicity' route? band wagon jumping, as the sun might say.
