Salieri Posted 6 February 2009 Posted 6 February 2009 It's been a boring evening so far, my mind was wandering and i've just recalled a spooky experience i had a few years ago so thought i'd share it.... I was lying in my bed, it was the early hours of the morning and i couldn't sleep. I remember getting up, turning the cassette i was listening to over (yes it was a fair few years ago!) and laying back down. Next, i heard my door open. My room was a small L-shaped room so I couldn't immediately see who had come in, but there was a mirror opposite my bed so i could see who it was just before i could properly see them (if that makes sense!). Anyway, I thought it was strange, someone coming into my room at that time, I looked, but nobody appeared. What followed was the weirdest and most terrifying thing thats ever happened to me. The whole atmosphere of the room changed. It felt colder and the air felt really heavy, like electric, hard to explain. The next thing, i felt a weight on top of me, pushing me down onto the bed. I couldnt move a muscle, i remember trying to lift my arms but couldnt raise them against this tremendous force. I felt the sensation of movement, glanced down, and saw my duvet slowly being pulled away until it dropped onto the floor. At this point, im beyond terrified, i try to shout but nothing comes out. It stays like that for maybe 5 seconds then, bang, it all changes back to normal again. I bolt upright in bed, the air is back to normal, i can hear the music again. I pegged it out of the room and never stayed in there again! Maybe it was some sort of entity, who knows? I'm pretty open minded when it comes to these sort of things. So, i was wondering, has anyone else had any bizarre, unexplainable experiences?
Libertine Posted 6 February 2009 Posted 6 February 2009 Denzil Dexter. Genius! "We took 4 ordinary, toilet tissue tubes"...
Salieri Posted 6 February 2009 Author Posted 6 February 2009 "We took 4 ordinary, toilet tissue tubes"... We wanted to establish if there was a link between sunspots and the lack of decent t.v after 3am in the morning. To do this, we collated all of the available data on sunspots since 1985 and correlated this with the tv schedules for the same period. Now Dave has been working with this raw data for some time now and i expect him to come up with the results very soon.....Dave? *cue Dave the monkey lab assistant rolling around in endless sheets of paper* The results are disappointing.....

BoneDog Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 I once woke up needing the toilet and sat on the edge of the bed to put me socks on (I don't walk in the bathroom barefoot ). Anyway, we have a chair in our room and my Mrs was sitting on it so I started talking to her. It was dark but I could see a little. I was very tired and half drunk. After a minute or two it started to dawn on me "that's not my Mrs". I fricking shit my pants and after freezing for a few seconds turned around and there she was fast asleep behind me. I looked back at the chair and it was empty. Talk about shit yourself. Another time I was washing my hands in the dark in the bathroom in the middle of the night after going toilet. I was naked and something touched the bottom of my back. It was a proper touch aswell, no chance I could of been mistaken.

Research some articles on somthing called 'sleep paralysis' somthing i also suffer from. here is the very first article google showed up just to get you started. http://ghoststudy.com/new6/article_submiss..._paralysis2.htm

Thankfully i haven't experienced it since, and hope it stays that way! I've had a few "out of body" experiences or astral travel or whatever you call it! Also seen some very weird stuff whilst doing ouija boards. Find it all very interesting as it points towards the possibility that there is some sort of afterlife.
Monk Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 When I lived in Loughborough my housemate was convinced that we had a ghost dog in the house that was wandering the hallway. Wierd he described it in loads of detail.... never saw it myself though.
Daggers Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 The ghost in our house made a huge mess in the lounge - empty tins and wine bottles all over the shop...and it looks like he made himself a spicy enchilada too because he never put the plate away.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 I was at a football match yesterday and something really weird happened. Despite having a numerical advantage over the opposition, a past-the-sell-by-date striker in goal and a penalty kick, the home team were possessed of a malevolent spirit that prevented them from scoring. The truth is out there! The ghost in our house made a huge mess in the lounge - empty tins and wine bottles all over the shop...and it looks like he made himself a spicy enchilada too because he never put the plate away. I've heard of this ghost. He bears a resemblence to Danny Baker.
Daggers Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 I've heard of this ghost. He bears a resemblence to Danny Baker. No. No, I don't think he does! George Clooney is closer to the mark according to those in the know.
BoneDog Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 Talking of the unexplained. I love the noise when he gets 'possessed' She's got this great love for Dick
